THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

Boswell votes with Republicans on Holder

In today's Register they had a article about Rep. Leonard Boswell voting with the republicans on the contempt vote against Eric Holder. Good for Rep. Boswell.

The truth needs to come out and hiding behind "executive privilege" is not going to sop it. Crimes were committed and someone authorized it. There are 2 federal agents and over 200 Mexican citizens murdered by this "operation". All of these news sources keep calling Fast and Furious a failed operation. There was nothing failed about it. If it had been about tracking guns to the cartels the Mexican authorities would have been notified and involved. They were kept in the dark and so were the federal agents that were stationed in Mexico. Jamie Zapata was one of those agents and was murdered in a attack on a Mexican hi way by the very cartels that ATF and DOJ armed.

There has been a flurry of articles in the last few days denying that F&F ever even happened. The proof is there and so is the truth. Two of the F&F guns were found at the scene of BP Agent Brian Terry's murder. There have been F&F guns found at the murder scenes fo Mexican citizens. They are now even starting to show up on our side of the border on a regular basis. Over 40 of them were recently recovered in Texas.

Gun dealers in Arizona called ATF and expressed their concerns about some of the purchasers. The ATF told (ordered) the dealers to proceed with the sales. The guns left the store and were being watched b agents until orders came down for them to back off and let the guns go. They went across the border and no one in Mexico was told they were coming. ATF agents can't cross the border so the claim they were going to "follow" the gun to higher up's is a outright lie. There was no way to track the guns after they quit following the original purchasers.

The purchasers are known as "straw buyers". They usually have a clean record and can purchase firearms after the standard background check. Straw purchasing is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in a federal prison. The first time the straw purchasers handed off the firearms, they and the receivers could have been arrested and charged on the spot. Why they weren't is one of the questions that needs a answer.

There are those that have been calling for more "gun control". Really? There are over 20,000 gun control laws on the books in this country and there is not a criminal anywhere that will obey even one of them. One more law won't do anything to stop criminal activity. The criminals will get guns one way or another. With our open border they can carry guns in with no questions asked. And there are a lot of countries out there that will sell guns to the cartels without a second thought. Most of the crime guns in Mexico come from across their southern border from places like Venezuela and Columbia. Then you have to factor in the fact that our own government supplies arms to the Mexican government. The soldiers then hear the lure of money, desert to join the cartels and take their military M16 with them.

One of the only things Boswell is good for. At least he isn't incompetent like Bruce "wasn't even there" Braley (I don't know or care how to spell it)
