THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

The Business of Guns

I was sent a link to Online MBA and a video called The Business of Guns. It's a one minute MBA presentation  It's a well presented summary of the Numbers involved in the gun industry. It runs just about a minute and it a fact filled adventure. I knew, as the video pointed out, that there were about 130,000 FFL holders in the Country. They compared this number to the numbers of Grocery stores and McDonald's. Those numbers surprised me. Especially since it seems like there's a McDonald's every couple of miles.

Watch it here

The numbers about the profits of Ruger and Ford Motor Company surprised me too. It's well worth the couple of minutes it takes to watch it. The other little facts such as the numbers of guns manufactured and ownership rates are interesting too. There were a few things I didn't know and I will keep the information handy.

Another good thing about this, there are no pro or anti gun politics involved. Just the information presented in a honest manner. I can highly recommend this and while you are there, there are plenty of these video's you can check out.

I wanted to thank you for presenting both sides of the situation. I recently went to some gun shops in Philadelphia, Pa that had a similar perspective.
