THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

The Marlboro Marine

The Marlboro Marine

Go watch this, then ask yourself what have you done to help someone that is hurting. None of us has done enough. Remember, 22 veterans a day are committing suicide. The government sure isn't helping. The VA is a screwed up mess. My own fight with the VA has been going on for over 11 years. I can imagine how a young vet feels when he's denied over and over for the help he or she needs. We all need to be writing and calling our congress critters and demanding that something be done.

Let them know how you feel. Rip them a new ass. Make our voices heard. It pisses me off to no end that they claim there is no money to help veterans. Yet they seem to have plenty of money for the lazy slugs on welfare and the wetbacks. They pour "foreign aid" into countries that hate us while veterans are living in tents and under bridges. We are the disposable ones. We did our duty and then we were thrown away like a old dish rag.

The so call "social justice warriors" know the names of every criminal in recent history. Can they name one veteran? Do they know the name Jose Gurena? Dakota Meyers? Capt. Ademola D. Fabayo and Staff Sgt. Juan J. Rodriguez-Chavez? Of course they can't, they aren't criminals killed during the commission of a crime.

Well, they never seemed to care about us Cold War guys at all.

Kinda knew they'd stop caring just as soon as they could with the WoT guys.

I'm getting sick of going in to have a doctor confirm that the injury that separated me is worse and that it should increase my disability. Then when I attempt to act on that, I'm back at the doctor...

I've talked to several guys who say that The Legion and VFW are instrumental in getting through the morass of bureaucracy, but note those organizations ALSO don't care about Cold War vets.

Grumble.

The DAV helped me for a while, until the 3rd time I was denied. I ended up getting a lawyer. Just the fact that there is a law firm called Legal Help for Veterans tells you there is a problem. Just about the time I hired these folks, I was getting letters from law firms all over the country. There shouldn't even be one law firm specializing in veterans affairs, let alone dozens of them.
