THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

I read the article...after I clicked your link which lead me to a different blog which required that I click their link. Would it be too awful to ask that you at least post a sentence or two from the article so your readers can better decide how to spend their time? Thank you.

Of the article there is nothing thought provoking. I completely agree with the lament of the author. Perhaps all I could cherish from the article is the implication of a dramatic shift. There was once a time when the people are to blame for the government we have. That is no longer the case when a government has taken on a life of it's own, that whatever the people do matters not. And while not provocative, the response of the people to this shift is to step up their game. If, as the article allows, the voter franchise is powerless, that the ballot box has become ineffective, the time has come to utilize the last box.

These are not ideas therefore not thought provoking. Even the call to action had been addressed hundreds of years ago. What is provoking is to consider if enough of the people will now act to save their country.
