THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

Here We Go Again More Gun Control

My condolences to the victims and their families of Saturdays terrible tragedy in Tuscon. It only took a few seconds for a mad man to destroy the lives of so many people.

On to business.
Two days after the tragedy in Arizona and the gun control bills are already starting to come out of the wood work.

Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.), pounced on the shooting massacre in Tucson Sunday, promising to introduce legislation as soon as Monday targeting the high-capacity ammunition clip the gunman used.

Pennsylvania Rep. Robert Brady, a Democrat from Philadelphia, told CNN that he also plans to take legislative action. He will introduce a bill that would make it a crime for anyone to use language or symbols that could be seen as threatening or violent against a federal official, including a member of Congress.

Another vocal supporter for gun control, Illinois Rep. Mike Quigley, told POLITICO that he hopes “something good” can come from the Arizona tragedy – perhaps discussion on a new assault weapon ban, sales at gun shows and tracing measures.

Carolyn (shoulder thing that goes up) McCarthy is a hoplophobe of the worst type. In 1993 he husband was killed on a New York subway. He son was also injured in the attack. I'm sorry her Husband was killed, but it's been almost 20 years, let's move on. Another law will do absolutely nothing. Nationwide, counting Federal, State and Local laws, there are over 20 Thousand gun laws on the books. And not a single one of them has ever had a effect on a criminal.

I don't know anything about Robert Brady, but he sounds like a true nut job himself. His idea of banning speech that could be "inflammatory" is one of the most ridicules things I have ever heard. Who is going to determine what is allowed and what isn't? Is all speech going to have to be approved by some bureaucrat?

And Mike Quigley. What can be said. Lets use a tragedy where the nut case involved used a pistol to bring back the failed Clinton assault weapon ban. This fool probably doesn't even know what a assault weapon is. Assault weapons have been banned since the National Firearms Act of 1934. What he wants to ban is any rifle that looks "scary" because the look like a machine gun. How do these fools even get elected?

Alan Gottlieb said it the best.

We find it unconscionable that the gun prohibition lobby wasted no time at all in its attempt to exploit this hideous attack in an effort to further its political agenda.—Alan Gottlieb, CCRKBA

I read the articles written right after the shooting by The Brady bunch and not one of them even said anything about condolences to any of the victims ot their families. Why is that Mr. Helmke?

All he can seem to do is rant about the accessibility of guns. Well Paul, did you ever consider that that is one of the prices we pay for being the Country we are with the freedoms we have?

All Dennis can do is rant about people that exercise their 2nd Amendment rights. And of course blaming a inanimate object for the terrible deed of a nut case.

What I find truly disgusting is the glee with which these anti gunners are dancing in the blood of the victims. You can almost see the smiles on the faces of the Brady Bunch and Sugarman of VPC. The VPC even advocated bringing back the Black Codes to deny law abiding Black people access to firearms.

From guncontrolkills.com

Washington, DC – -(Pajamasmedia.com)- The Violence Policy Center (VPC) — the anti-gun rights group that Barack Obama repeatedly voted to fund while he was a director of the Joyce Foundation — believes that African-Americans are too violent to deserve the entire Constitution.

Blacks in the United States are disproportionately affected by homicide. For the year 2007, blacks represented 13 percent of the nation’s population, yet accounted for 49 percent of all homicide victims.

As noted at the beginning of this study, the devastation homicide inflicts on black teens and adults is a national crisis, yet it is all too often ignored outside of affected communities.

For blacks, like all victims of homicide, guns — usually handguns — are far and away the number one murder tool. Successful efforts to reduce America’s black homicide toll must put a focus on reducing access to firearms.

Sugarman and company would deny one race their Constitutional right to bear arms because the are plagued with violence. Whatever the VPC’s intent may be, the gun control group indirectly concludes that black communities must be disarmed.

Of course what The Brady Bunch, the VPC et.al, leave out is the fact that their membership is sinking like a rock. The Brady bunch used to claim they had 500,000 members. The latest count shows they have less than 50,000. Gee Paul, where did 450,000 members go?
They will use this tragedy to raise money for their dying organizations. The Brady Bunch has even stooped to selling the names of their members.

No gun right organization that I belong to or even know of sells the names of their members.
