THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

Sultan Knish: Super-Amnesty Will Turn Every City into Detroit

Sultan Knish: Super-Amnesty Will Turn Every City into Detroit

If Obama signs the amnesty he keeps talking about, the first act of the new Congress should be impeachment and removal from office. With only 2 years of this administration to go, how much damage can "shotgun" Joe really do.

Veterans day

The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The official end of the war to end all wars. Or so we thought. Just shy of 20 years later, a madman taught us what true evil could do.

Since 1775, men and women have held up their right hand and took a oath to defend this country. All of them gave something, some of them gave more and some gave all they had. Think of our veterans not only today, but every day. Those that have gone before and those that are serving now. A little prayer never hurts.

239 years of badassery

Happy birthday to all the Devil Dogs past and present. I am proud to be a member of a small select group. A branch of the service started in a bar has to be the best.

A big happy birthday also to Audra and Bradley. A wonderful daughter and grandson.

Thanks to Colonel Weddington for the image.

Plastic Shannon thinks they won big

Shannon Watts

In a Moms Demand/Everytown for Gun Safety video released November 5, Watts said:
For years, the gun lobby has had the field to themselves. But this election season, supporters like you are changing the game. You’ve shown the size and the power of our movement, led by moms and concerned citizens from all over the country who care deeply about gun violence prevention. We mobilized nearly one million gun sense voters who pledged to VOTE for candidates who support common sense gun laws.
Watts said these volunteers organized over “100 house parties,” knocked on “tens of thousands of doors,” and made “more than 100,000 phone calls to voters in key areas.”
Poor plastic Shannon and her Mommies Demanding Attention. What exactly did they win? They got their mostly un-enforceable background check in Washington, bought by Gates and Bloomberg.  And re-elected a couple of gun hating governors in states that define liberal.

Here in Iowa, the Senate candidate Bruce Braley, a Oboma drone and known gun hater lost to Joni Earnst. In our 1st congressional district, known gun hater Pat Murphy was beaten severely.  There were several state level represenatives unseated for their gun hating ways.

One in particular made me happy even though he's in another area. You might remember this guy.

State Rep. Dan Muhlbauer, D-Manilla, says Iowa lawmakers should ban semi-automatic guns and "start taking them" from owners who refuse to surrender any illegal firearms through a buy-back program.

There were a couple that needed to go, but were in such liberal areas they won their bids. One was Robb "boss" Hogg. He's in charge of the Senate Judiciary committee and swore that no gun related bills are going to the Senate floor. Last year the house had a suppressor bill pass with wide bi-partisan support and Hogg killed it. Maybe some day Iowa will join a lot of other states and most of Europe in allowing suppressors. The hearing you save might be your own.
