THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

Pizza Delivery Men Arm Themselves “Tired Of Armed Robberies”

Pizza delivery is often cited as one of the most dangerous occupations nationwide, though the Bureau of Labor Statistics doesn't track the specific numbers. But according to preliminary data for 2013, the occupational class they belong to—“drivers, sales workers, and truck drivers”—experienced the highest fatality rate of any job, registering 748 deaths.

I'm getting tired of hearing how "dangerous" it is to be a cop. Sure, it has it's risks. IIRC it was 2012 that there were 61 cops killed in the line of duty. The majority of them were due to traffic accidents. There were a few that died due to gunfire, but not all that many. Heart attacks on the job got several.

Pizza drivers, especially the ones that work for the major chains, get sent to a location, with food. I guarantee you, if I was going to rob someone, I'd call and order a couple of pizza's and ask for change for 100. Not only will my victim bring me 100 dollars plus, he'll feed me too. We had a short spell about a year ago where 3 drivers were robbed in about 4 or 5 days. Two of them were from the same company. It just happened to be in our delivery area. In one of the rougher neighborhoods. There is one apartment complex in our area where we will not deliver. Back before I started they had a couple of drivers robbed there. Thankfully no one was hurt.

I work for a great boss. He's from Bosnia and came here years ago as a political refugee. He went from being a pizza delivery driver to owning his own store. He told me that he's fine with me carrying as long as I have my permit. I've worked for him for 8 years and so far I have never had any trouble. I did get a bit of a fright one night. I took a delivery and when I showed up, the house was empty. To the point that there weren't even curtains on the windows. Our car unlocks the doors when you put it in park. I immediately re-locked the doors, raised my shirt and got a good firm grip on my gun. It seems the idiot  customer had moved and forgot to tell the cashier when he called in.

I would imagine that cab drivers are in that group too. They are known to carry cash and they too will come to you with a phone call. And like pizza drivers, they even furnish a get-away car.

The War on Guns: We're the Only Ones Planting Enough

The War on Guns: We're the Only Ones Planting Enough

Be sure to read the full interview. It makes you wonder how many innocent people this asshole has sent to jail. And according to him, pretty much the whole department is corrupt. How many departments around the country is this going on at? Yours? Mine? Remember, you too can be framed at a traffic stop.

I generally support and respect the police. I've seen the department here get rid of several officers for violating peoples rights or just plain brutality. Recently, they fired a woman beater. They were forced to hire him back by a review board. But things like this should shake up peoples thoughts that police are the "protectors" of all that is good. They are becoming more like a occupying army than peace officers. Sending SWAT teams to serve trivial warrants. Acquiring equipment suited for use on the battle field. I noticed a while back that even quiet little Des Moines has a armored vehicle.

The small city to our north used a SWAT team to raid a house over a credit card case. What ever happened to a couple of detectives showing up and talking to the suspects? Now we have to break down doors and kill people and their pets? Luckily, in the Ankeny credit card case, no one was injured. They did however destroy the homeowners security cameras and door. This shit needs to stop.

Possibly the most recognized pictures on the planet.

Three Marines depicted in the photograph, Harlon BlockFranklin Sousley, and Michael Strank, were killed in action over the next few days. The three surviving flag-raisers were Marines Rene GagnonIra Hayes, and Navy Corpsman John Bradley. The latter three became celebrities after their identifications in the photograph.
