THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”

‘Gun Laws by State’ provides valuable resource

“Shall not be infringed” notwithstanding, engaged gun owners know there is a multitude of laws, statutes and ordinances doing exactly that enacted at federal state and municipal levels, despite what opportunistic anti-gun politicians, the Brady Campaign, and their media cheerleaders would have Americans believe with their incessant and false “lax gun laws” mantra.

This is a handy resource for anyone that carries a gun. This book should be in everyone's library. Soon to come, it will be made available on Kindle, Iphone/IOS, Android and Google Play platforms.

Do yourself a favor and give it a look.

Another stupid gun dealer

The gun blogs all went ballistic over the guy in Texas that said just give the Bradyites their ammo ban.

Wisconsin has had a open carry law for years and just last November initiated concealed carry. Before concealed carry, some activists were openly and legally carrying their firearms. Enter Milwaukee police chief Ed Flynn. His orders were to put anyone with a gun face down, handcuff them, take their gun and we could "sort it out later". Such a nice guy. Milwaukee's Cheif and Mayor Tom Barrett (who got his ass handed to him in the recall of Gov. Walker) are gun hating shills for the Bradyites.

Enter Badger Guns. Badger guns has been a major source of crime guns in Milwaukee and the surrounding area. So much so that the ATF revoked their licence. They closed Dec. 31st.

Mike Allan, opened Brew City Shooter's Supply a short time later but could not sell guns as he waited for a license. Mike Allan ran a shooting range and sold ammunition and other supplies, which do not require a federal license.

Mike Allan later received his license and this month resumed selling guns. However, Allan said he is using a different model than his brother. To buy a gun at Brew City, the customer must become a member of the store, showing knowledge of guns and proficiency in shooting, according to Mike Allan. If they do not have that knowledge or skill, they must take a class. That requirement has already deterred several buyers, he said.

"The last thing I want is to have criminals walking in my store," Mike Allan said Friday. "People definitely notice when you have a more pleasant environment. It is going to take time to get more members. In the end, it will be worth it."

Ok, It's like a private club. I don't have a problem with that. If someone wants to be a member, it's their money. But here's where they depart from common sense and even private membership.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said he is optimistic the new owner, his business plan and cooperation with law enforcement will mean the West Milwaukee location will cease to be the source of a high number of crime guns.

"If they stick to this business plan, I am optimistic this location will drop out of the national rankings of gun stores that provide guns to criminals," Barrett said.

Chief praises efforts

Barrett met with West Milwaukee Police Chief Dennis Nasci this week and praised the chief's efforts to work with Brew City employees to check out people using the range. Nasci's department started running background checks on everyone using the Badger Guns range in 2009, an arrangement that Adam Allan agreed to, though no law required him to do so.

Nasci said since late 2009, he has run more than 25,000 names of range users through his system. So far this year, he's ran more than 8,800 and come up with 47 people who required further investigation. A few of those were referred to prosecutors for illegal possession, Nasci said.

This asshat turned over the names of 25,000 people for the police to run a check on. What the hell is this guy thinking? If someone buys a gun, they have to submit to a background check. The same goes for anyone applying for a weapons permit. So why is this guy giving the names of people, most that have passed a check, to the local PD? If I was on that list and saw this in the paper, I'd be a little more than pissed.

This should get more attention than the guy in Texas. That guy made a stupid statement, but that is his right as it is our right to boycott his business. Mr. Allen on the other hand, is giving the names of his law abiding customers to the police to run a background check that the vast majority of them have already been through.

Godwin's law time. Turning over his names is kind of like the good Germans in the 30's and 40's turning in their Jewish neighbors. And we know how that worked out for the "undesirables".

I hope the word gets spread and this asshat gets run out of business. Why is he not protecting the privacy of his customers? 47 that required further investigation? out of 25,000? My math skills aren't that good, but the percentage is minuscule. All to make a couple of gun haters happy? I'd tell them to go pound sand. The only people that can look at my customer list is ATF. They usually aren't interested unless they are investigating something specific. That's the way it should be. My customers trust me to keep their names and what they bought private. It's a responsibility I take seriously.

Every little chip the gun haters can get of our rights they will try to expand on. We don't need our own helping them.

Weapons of war? Really?

Another gun hating rant, this time in the Portland Tribune. Penny Okamato from the hate group Oregon Ceasefire wrote the screed.

As is typical of these things it was filled with lies. I hope I made their butt hurt when I made the appropriate corrections. Will these liberal gun haters ever figure out that they are losing? Most of these organizations are only one or two people because they can't get the donations to pay anyone.

" Subcompact machine guns, like the “Tommy Gun,” were quickly adopted by U.S. criminals and outlawed in 1934."

No they weren't. There were regulated by the government. To own one you have to submit to a background check and pay a $200 tax.

"y years later, the semi-automatic descendants of these weapons, such as the AR-15 assault rifle and UZI assault pistol, were being used by criminals to terrorize American streets."

According to the FBI, all long guns are used in less than 2% of crimes.

"In response, Congress passed the Federal Assault Weapons Ban in 1994, prohibiting new manufacture of a wide number of assault weapons"

Again, no. All the failed AWB did was limit the size of new magazines and ban a couple of cosmetic things like flash suppressors and bayonet lugs. It changed no crime statistics.

" But fully automatic machine guns are available, and converting semi-auto assault rifles to fully automatic is illegal but easily done."

Illegal yes, easily done, no. You don't convert one of these to full auto with a file. There is very specific machining that has to be done and very special parts. The myth of "full auto kits" available at gun shows ij just a liberal gun hating lie.

"100-round magazines are available on the Internet to anyone with a credit card."

And they are junk. The one the Colorado shooter used jammed, keeping the death toll down.

"The NRA and its supporters don’t like the term “assault rifle.”".

Because it's a bullshit term made up by Josh Sugarman of the VPC. A known liberal idiot gun hater.

"Here’s what one 78-year-old hunter said: “I am a hunter and have been all my life. My family hunts as well. . . ."

What he's really saying is I support the 2nd Amendment, but. Right after they say but, you know they are going to say some stupid shit like guns are fine as long as they are like the ones I own. They are known as Fudds. After Elmer Fudd, whose only weapon is a shotgun. I dare any of these liberal asshats to show me the right to hunt in the Constitution.

"Obama came out in favor of stricter regulation of assault rifles. “I think we recognize the traditions of gun ownership that passed on from generation to generation,” he said. “But I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals, that they belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities.”".

He's never read Tence Coxe.
" Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American. What clause in the state or federal constitution hath given away that important right.... T he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the foederal or state governments, but where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people."

You liberal idiot pisswits have no concept of "the right of the people" or "shall not be infringed". The government does not "give" us rights and the Constitution puts limits on what the government can do. I'll keep my freedom thank you. If you don't want freedom, you are free to move someplace they don't have any.

Just this one little piece

There is a gun shop in Katy Texas called Tactical Firearms. The owner Jeremy Alcede, went on the radio and made one of the stupidest statements I have ever heard.

Speaking about the ban on internet ammo sales that the gun hating Senator Up-Chuck Schumer and Represenative McCarty are trying to introduce.

"If we give them this one little thing, they will leave us alone". Holy shit, what planet is this guy from? Has he never listen to the gun haters? Does he not know who Pete Shields is?

I re-manufacture and sell ammo, so a ban on mail order sales could help me. Yet I do not want to give up the liberty for people to do that. And that is exactly what it is, giving up liberty. I would rather sell a little less because someone got a better deal at someplace like cheaper than dirt than to live in the kind of world this idiot and the Bradyites envision.

This place will never see a penny of my money. They may have the one part I really need, I don't care. If gun owners would vote with their wallets idiots like this would dry up and blow away.

I saw on facebook where they were trying to back up the bus. "Oh, that's not what we meant" crap. Shal we go to the tape? It was aired and now you want to tell us what a mistake it was? Banning internet sales would supposedly increase his business, if he has any left.

Fortune article debunked

Remember this story. This alleged 6 month investigation proved that Fast and Furious was made up to embarrass Obama and Holder. The gun haters were jumping for joy. Their hero had been vindicated because the Republicans and the evil NRA were making up lies. They spread the word far and wide that F&F was a scam to keep the One from being re-elected.

The government, in a report available here take Ms. Eban's article apart with the true findings of the Congressional investigation.

Fortune’s “investigation” is exposed as a hit piece full of errors and omissions.

Rather than a fair accounting with information that contradicted her thesis, the end result
was a one-sided, hit piece that attempted to discredit whistleblowers who testified to Congress
and defend the supervisors responsible for overseeing the reckless operation. The criticisms of
whistleblowers in the story were thinly sourced and often petty.
Below, the article is reproduced in its entirety in block quotations, with appropriate
corrections, context, and other comments.

I can just imagine people like Bloomberg and Peterson having fits since their new Heroine has been taken to the woodshed for her lies. It's a rather long read, but well worth the time.

The Brady Bunch

The Brady Campaign to Prevent gun Violence sounds like a good organization. They are always talking about "common sense" gun laws. Of course we all know that "common sense" never enters into the discussion. The Brady bunch was founded by a guy named Pete Shields. Their original name was Handgun Control Inc. Their purpose back the was to ban every handgun in the Country.
Here's their mission statement.

We're going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily -- given the political realities -- going to be very modest. . . . [W]e'll have to start working again to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen the next law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we'd be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal -- total control of handguns in the United States -- is going to take time. . . . The first problem is to slow down the number of handguns being produced and sold in this country. The second problem is to get handguns registered. The final problem is to make possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition-except for the military, police, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors-totally illegal.

Richard Harris, A Reporter at Large: Handguns, New Yorker, July 26, 1976, at 53, 58 (quoting Pete Shields, founder of Handgun Control, Inc.)...

Yep, sounds like common sense to me. Of course now their big thing is the "evil assault guns". What ever those are. We can think another one of the gun haters for that. . Take this quote from gun haterJosh Sugarman;

"Assault weapons—just like armor-piercing bullets, machine guns, and plastic firearms—are a new topic. The weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun—can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons. In addition, few people can envision a practical use for these weapons."
-Josh Sugarmann, Assault Weapons and Accessories in America, 1988

Lies and misdirection seem to be the stock in trade of all of these gun haters. More bad news for them, they are losing members so fast that the Brady bunch is having to sell their e-mail list to raise enough money to keep the lights on.Let there be no doubt, they want everyone except the Government to be disarmed. They will settle for nothing less.

Telling it like it is.

The free exercise of my rights is not contingent on the approval of some parasite government bureaucrat or their pathetic fan club. My right to free speech is not confined to what is considered inoffensive or sensible. I explicitly lay claim to be as offensive as possible without causing provable harm to another. Similarly, the protections offered by the 2nd Amendment to my natural right to keep and bear arms is not limited by “reasonableness” or the comfort level of my neighbors. The words “shall not be infringed” seem completely unambiguous to me, and the use of “militia” in the preamble indicates that anything that is available to light infantry should be available to citizens.

Go read the whole thing. I agree with him.

Hatred of the NRA and Love for the UN

Hating the NRA

It's a mystery to me why all the Bradyites hate the NRA so. Joan Peterson blogs almost daily about evil guns and the evil NRA. I refuse to link to her site, google is your friend. Of course she wants "common sense" gun laws. Which means no one but the government should have them. Of course the criminals will have them too because, well, they're criminals.

There was a letter in today's paper vilifying the NRA for supposedly controlling Congress. Where do these people get these ideas? I've been a NRA member off and on since 1976. Several years ago I became a distinguished member (reserved for disabled veterans). I didn't know I had part ownership in Congress. I need to call my Congress critters and let them know who's boss.Wait, aren't we the people supposed to be the boss anyway?

The NRA has around 4 million members. Considering that there are over 80 million gun owners, that's really kind of pathetic. I believe that if you own a gun you should be a member. And if not the NRA, try GOA (gun owners of America) The Second Amendment foundation or CCRKBA (citizens committee to keep and bear arms. They all do good work. You should also be a member of you state level organization. Here in Iowa, the Iowa Firearms Coalition is the partner organization of the NRA. We worked and lobbied and finally got a great shall issue law passed. We are alsso working to get the right to keep and bear arms added to the Iowa Constitution. Iowa is only one of eight states that do not have that right in their Constitution.

Obama failed and the gun haters are furious.

The UN att has been put on indefinite hold. The US, Russia, China and a couple others didn't like the way it was worded. There is a good artice about it here.

The decision sparked angry reactions from human rights groups often allied with the Obama administration, who believed a treaty to regulate the export of deadly weapons to rogue regimes was within reach. The UN had spent the entire month of July hammering out a deal, and Friday was the deadline for an agreement on a treaty that has met with the staunch opposition of the National Rifle Association and bipartisan concerns in the Senate.

There's that evil NRA again. Any treaty that the US enters into must be ratified by 2/3 majority in the Senate. 51 Senators sent a letter to the President telling him it wasn't going to happen.

Amnesty International was one of the groups that was very vocal about it.

“This was stunning cowardice by the Obama administration, which at the last minute did an about-face and scuttled progress toward a global arms treaty, just as it reached the finish line,” said Suzanne Nossel, the executive director of Amnesty International USA.

Here's the rest of her screed. They sure get pissy when they don't get their way. I guess none of these people understand "Shall not be Infringed".
