THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

This and That

The gun haters are rally mad

Looks like the UN isn't going to get their ATT that they wanted. The U.S., Russia and China were the most adamant about not signing it.

Amnesty International’s Suzanne Trimel, quoted by the Huffington Post, accused the NRA of “spreading lies” about the treaty.

“Basically,” Trimel reportedly stated, “what they're saying is that the arms trade treaty will have some impact on domestic, Second Amendment gun rights. And that is just false, completely false.”

Too bad for you, The American gun owners made it known to Congress that we would not surrender our rights to a bunch of despots and dictators in NYC. Every time these gun hating asshats don't get their way, they blame the NRA.

51 Senators sent a letter to P5resident Obama stating that even if passed, the Senate would not ratify it. I can't find the link, but good for them.

Gun haters in the Senate are at it again

A gaggle of Democrat Senators led by Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) have proposed an amendment to S. 3414, the Cybersecurity Act of 2012, that would ban all magazines, stripper clips, drums, and belts that would hold more than 10 rounds. They do carve out an exception for .22 LR. How generous of them. The rest of the haters that jumped on the wagon,Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Jack Reed (D-RI), Bob Menendez (D-NJ), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and Diane Feinstein (D-CA). No surprises there.

This includes "possession" of said magazines. There are millions of these evil sheet metal (sometimes plastic) boxes in the hands of honest people. That's the only size I have for my rifles that take detachable mags. Are we supposed to turn them in? If so, are we going to be compensated? By who? The taxpayers? Of course there are enough votes in the Senate to shut them up. And there is no change it would pass the house.

The Aurora shooting

I've been quiet on this because unlike the blood dancers, I would like a few facts. One of the most amazing facts is the 41% spike in gun sales in the last week.

You can take 2 things from this. People are tired of being victims. Since over the years SCOTUS has ruled that the police don't have to protect anyone. Their duty is to the "public at large". I do understand this, what are the chances there's going to be a cop there when a crime happens. Criminals avoid cops like the plague.

Another thing you can get from this, maybe people are worried what the government might do. The Bradyites and the rest of the gun haters were dancing in the blood of the victims before they had all the bodies out of the theater. Most of them calling for more gun control and outright bans. While we in the gun community were respectful of the victims and expressing our condolences, the gun haters were jumping for joy because they had victims to use for their own evil purposes. People need to understand, gun control has never been about guns. It's about control. When we forget that, we lose.

But, but, but.....

I support the 2nd Amendment, but....

This spikes my bullshit meter. Most of these are known as Fudds, after Elmer Fudd of Buggs Bunny fame. They will give their full support except we can ban (insert type). As long as their hunting gun is safe they are happy.

They never think about the fact that Uncle Joe's Remington 700 deer rifle is the same rifle, with a couple changes, that is the military's main sniper rifle. So their claim that no one "needs" a military rifle falls a little short. Besides that, I have read the Constitution and I have yet to find the word hunting anywhere.

The Bradyites love the Fudds. They tell them they only want to ban certain types of guns and the Fudds all shake their heads in agreement. The Communists used to call people like that "useful idiots". They go through life thinking everything is fine as long as they can go hunting.

Now don't get me wrong, I have hunted and find it a very enjoyable sport. But I understand why the 2nd Amendment was written. I guess no one understands "Shall not be infringed".

Basu tells so many lies her nose should be 2 feet long.

In todays Register Rekhaa Basu rails on about gun control. The article is filled with lies that we are going to address.

In the past two months, authorities say, James Holmes, 24, who is charged in the Aurora movie theater shootings, legally bought four guns at Colorado gun stores: an assault rifle, two 40-caliber handguns and a 12-gauge shotgun. He bought 6,000 rounds of ammunition on the Internet.

So? Until he broke the law by committing murder he was allowed to buy 4 guns. 4 guns isn't a lot.

He was able to shoot that many people that quickly because that’s what assault weapons are designed to do, and his ammo magazine was capable of firing of 50 to 60 rounds a minute.

I've never seen a "magazine" fire any rounds at all.

Why are assault weapons legal?

She wouldn't know a assault weapon if it bet her in the ass. Assault weapons are highly regulated by federal law. The guns these liberals wail about are copies. But misdirection is what they do.

America had an assault weapons ban between 1994 and 2004, which barred the manufacture and sale of certain large-capacity, military-style weapons. During that time, according to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, the homicide rate plummeted from 9.5 murders to 5.5 for every 100,000 people and the use of assault weapons in crime plunged to around 66 percent. But the ban expired under a sunset provision, and Congress has been unwilling to reinstate it.

The "assault weapons ban" did nothing but remove a couple of cosmetic features. The Bradyites are lying about the ban dropping the crime rate by such a large percentage. During the years of the ban, more states passed concealed carry laws. The crime rate had been dropping for years. 66% crime with assault weapons? No, according to the FBI so called assault weapons are used in less than 2% of all crimes.

the Brady Campaign, which is urging people to sign a petition to members of Congress demanding that convicted felons, domestic abusers, terrorists and dangerous mentally ill people not be able to buy, own or carry a gun.

It's already against the law for all of these people to own and carry firearms. Are we going to make it illegaler? I see in the news all the time where felons are caught with guns and get by with a wrist slap. We need to be locking the violent offenders up and keep them there. This is what we mean when we say enforce the existing laws. Most people that use a gun in a crime they are repeat offenders. The problem is judges that are so soft on crime.

She also seemed rather upset that President Obama and Mitt Romney didn't jump om the bandwagon. They did talk about the horror and the victims. The gun haters couldn't even wait until the bodies were out of the building before they started their blood dance. Because that's what they do, is dance in the blood of the victims and say look at me. The President and Mr. Romney did the right thing by showing sympathy for the victims and even suspending their campaign ads. That's called proper respect. The tweets and statements by the likes of Piers Morgan and Micheal Bloomberg were tasteless and inflammatory.

Here's a good idea for all the gun haters. Keep your hands off my rights.

Register still blaming guns for criminal's actions.

The Register this morning has another "we hate guns" editorial spouting the evils of the so called "assault weapons". First, "assault weapon" is a term invented by the gun haters to make a rifle sound more menacing. A true assault rifle is the standard arm of every soldier in every military in the world. They have a selector switch that allows full-auto or semi-auto fire. The National firearms act of 1934 (NFA34) strictly controls who may own and use "machine guns" in this Country. To own one, you must pass a background check that can take up to 6 months to complete, pay a 200 dllar fee to the government (tax) and live in a state that will allow you to own them.

The gun haters however, will never let a small detail like that get in their way. Take this quote from gun haterJosh Sugarman;

"Assault weapons—just like armor-piercing bullets, machine guns, and plastic firearms—are a new topic. The weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun—can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons. In addition, few people can envision a practical use for these weapons."
-Josh Sugarmann, Assault Weapons and Accessories in America, 1988

Sugarman would have done Goebbels proud. Repeat the lie often enough and it will eventually be seen as the truth. They use deliberate misconception to try and further their agenda. And make no mistake, gun control has nothing to do with guns. It is strictly about control.

One of the blatant lies in the editorial was that you can go online and buy a arsenal. Technically, that is true. They leave out the part about how any gun purchased on the internet has to go through their local dealer to be legal. I don't know of any gun dealers that would jeopardize their licence over a unlawful sale. I know I won't. I have too much time and money invested in my FFL to throw it away over a few dollars.

The Politicians were so fast to jump on the "ban them all" band wagon over the weekend I though the boat would sink. Most of them were spouting all the same tired talking points. "Assault weapons" are evil and must be banned. I don't understand why the gun haters can't wait to dance in the blood of the victims. Spouting that other tired lie about hunting. I've read the Constitution a few times and even have a copy handy. I have yet to find the word hunting anywhere. Looking through there id did find "The right of the people" several times, including in the 2nd Amendment. Also, the last 4 words of the 2nd Amendment stood out, "shall not be infringed". Am I the only person that knows what that means?

Over a year ago I sent a invitation to the editorial board to take them to the range for class and a shooting session on me. I never did get a response. They either think I'm fooling with them or they are truly afraid that their view will be changed.

Penn and Teller on the 2nd Amendment

Penn and Teller say it like it is. Too bad today's politicians don't understand "the right of the people" and "shall not be infringed".

Warning, some bad language.

Add a little common sense.

So simple even a politician should get it, but they don't. They still believe that taking my guns will stop some criminal from committing a crime. They don't seem to understand that they are called criminals for a reason.

Rapper Ice T on US gun control (20July12)

Even though I don't like rap, Ice-T tells the truth.

Take that Piers Morgan you limey asshat.

For those that don't know, Piers Morgan was on twitter almost before the police were on the scene Friday morning spouting his vitriol about how evil American gun laws are. He has the balls to come to this Country and make millions of dollars though.
