THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

Patriots day

238 years ago, the British marched on Lexington and Concord to confiscate the firearms and other munitions of the colonists. And for 238 years, the gun grabbers have kept on trying. They never learn.

Captain John Parker told his men to hold their fire unless fired upon. "If they mean to start a war, let it begin here".

Patriots day, April 19th. A day to remember the brave souls that stood up against tyranny and gave King George III the finger.

QotD Curmudgeon edition

Even though it’s tax day, today is a good day.  Why?  Because the creeping monolith hasn’t yet kicked my ass.  It probably hasn’t kicked yours either.  We’re still here with all of the flag waving, gun clinging, obstreperous, inconvenient, self-actualized, American glory that makes “our betters” cringe.  The nation that cured Polio and invented the monster truck isn’t yet a Socialist playpen.  So smile dammit!

If you aren't reading The Adaptive Curmudgeon, You should be.

I've been reading his stuff for a while now. He's made me laugh, cry, scream at the computer and generally feel good.
