It seems like there have been a lot of hunting accidents lately. It is always a good idea to review the rules from time to time. These rules should be hard and fast for anyone that carries a gun. They could very well save your life.
Jeff Cooper's Rules of Gun Safety
RULE I: ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
RULE II: NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY
RULE III: KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
RULE IV: BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET
RULE I: ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
There are no exceptions. Do not pretend that this is true. Some people and organizations take this rule and weaken it;e.g. "Treat all guns as if they were loaded." Unfortunately, the "as if" compromises the directness of the statement by implying that they are unloaded, but we will treat them as though they are loaded. No good! Safety rules must be worded forcefully so that they are never treated lightly or reduced to partial compliance.
All guns are always loaded - period!
This must be your mind-set. If someone hands you a firearm and says, "Don't worry, it's not loaded," you do not dare believe him. You need not be impolite, but check it yourself. Remember, there are no accidents, only negligent acts. Check it. Do not let yourself fall prey to a situation where you might feel compelled to squeal, "I didn't know it was loaded!"
RULE II: NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY
Conspicuously and continuously violated, especially with pistols, Rule II applies whether you are involved in range practice, daily carry, or examination. If the weapon is assembled and in someone's hands, it is capable of being discharged. A firearm holstered properly, lying on a table, or placed in a scabbard is of no danger to anyone. Only when handled is there a need for concern. This rule applies to fighting as well as to daily handling. If you are not willing to take a human life, do not cover a person with the muzzle. This rule also applies to your own person. Do not allow the muzzle to cover your extremities, e.g. using both hands to reholster the pistol. This practice is unsound, both procedurally and tactically. You may need a free hand for something important. Proper holster design should provide for one-handed holstering, so avoid holsters which collapse after withdrawing the pistol. (Note: It is dangerous to push the muzzle against the inside edge of the holster nearest the body to "open" it since this results in your pointing the pistol at your midsection.) Dry-practice in the home is a worthwhile habit and it will result in more deeply programmed reflexes. Most of the reflexes involved in the Modern Technique do not require that a shot be fired. Particular procedures for dry-firing in the home will be covered later. Let it suffice for now that you do not dry-fire using a "target" that you wish not to see destroyed. (Recall RULE I as well.)
Rule III: KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule III is violated most anytime the uneducated person handles a firearm. Whether on TV, in the theaters, or at the range, people seem fascinated with having their finger on the trigger. Never stand or walk around with your finger on the trigger. It is unprofessional, dangerous, and, perhaps most damaging to the psyche, it is klutzy looking. Never fire a shot unless the sights are superimposed on the target and you have made a conscious decision to fire. Firing an unaligned pistol in a fight gains nothing. If you believe that the defensive pistol is only an intimidation tool - not something to be used - carry blanks, or better yet, reevaluate having one around. If you are going to launch a projectile, it had best be directed purposely. Danger abounds if you allow your finger to dawdle inside the trigger guard. As soon as the sights leave the target, the trigger-finger leaves the trigger and straightens alongside the frame. Since the hand normally prefers to work as a unit - as in grasping - separating the function of the trigger-finger from the rest of the hand takes effort. The five-finger grasp is a deeply programmed reflex. Under sufficient stress, and with the finger already placed on the trigger, an unexpected movement, misstep or surprise could result in a negligent discharge. Speed cannot be gained from such a premature placement of the trigger-finger. Bringing the sights to bear on the target, whether from the holster or the Guard Position, takes more time than that required for moving the trigger finger an inch or so to the trigger.
RULE IV: BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET
Know what it is, what is in line with it, and what is behind it. Never shoot at anything you have not positively identified. Be aware of your surroundings, whether on the range or in a fight. Do not assume anything. Know what you are doing.
SUMMARY:
Make these rules a part of your character. Never compromise them. Improper gunhandling results from ignorance and improper role modeling, such as handling your gun like your favorite actor does. Education can cure this. You can make a difference by following these gunhandling rules and insisting that those around you do the same. Set the example. Who knows what tragedies you, or someone you influence, may prevent?
THE FOUR RULES
1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.
2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.
3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.
4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Soldiers Christmas
This was too good to pass up. Remember our service men and women during the Christmas season.
TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF
PLASTER AND STONE.
I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO
IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.
I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.
NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES
OF A FAR DISTANT LAND.
WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.
FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.
THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,
SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.
THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED
A UNITED STATES SOLDIER.
WAS THIS THE HERO
OF WHOM I’D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?
I REALIZED THE FAMILIES
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS
WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.
SOON ROUND THE WORLD,
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.
THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.
I COULDN’T HELP WONDER
HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.
THE VERY THOUGHT
BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES
AND STARTED TO CRY.
THE SOLDIER AWAKENED
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
‘SANTA DON’T CRY,
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;
I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,
I DON’T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY! COUNTRY, MY CORPS.’
THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN’T CONTROL IT,
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.
I WEPT FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED
FROM THE COLD NIGHT’S CHILL.
I DIDN’T WANT TO LEAVE
ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

I am the gun lobby
Many thanks to our friend Jeff Knox.
Attention Lamestream Media...
To all of those “reporters” and pundits at ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN, the New York Times and all the other Times, the Boston Globe, the Spokane Spokesman-Review, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Arizona Republic, all of the Tribunes, Stars, and Ledgers;
Let me make something perfectly clear: The NRA is not the Gun Lobby. Neither is the NSSF, nor the GOA, nor even The Firearms Coalition, nor the hundreds of grassroots and activist organizations or the thousands of local gun clubs. I am the Gun Lobby. Whenever you talk about the Gun Lobby, you are talking about me. All those groups and entities work for me, but they are not me, and they do not necessarily speak for me. My power does not derive from my personal wealth nor financial support from the industry that serves me. My power comes from the fact that I am one of tens of millions who understand that individuals have the right and the obligation to protect themselves from criminal assault, and that no one — not the government, not the media nor anyone else, has the right to decide what, when, where, or how I responsibly exercise that right and obligation. We – each of us – are the Gun Lobby, and we’re not going away, We’re not backing down, and we’re not giving in – not one little bit.
It infuriates me when I hear “reporting” and editorializing about “the powerful Gun Lobby” and “the intransigent Gun Lobby” and sometimes even “the evil Gun Lobby,” as if we were a handful of rich fat cats in safari shirts sitting in a mahogany-lined room full of leather, stuffed animals, and cigar smoke plotting how to increase our profits by increasing crime. We are the people! We are the 80 to 90 million people in this country who own guns and the tens of millions more who do not own guns, but fully support our right to do so.
Unlike the anti-rights groups like the Violence Policy Center and the Brady Campaign, we do not get the bulk of our money from wealthy do-gooder endowments like the Joyce Foundation or wealthy individuals like Mike Bloomberg. I am the Gun Lobby and I get my money by working for it in factories, on construction sites, in small businesses, stores, shops, farms and ranches. I pull the money I use to support or oppose candidates and to pay my professional advocates, not from tax dollars or union dues, but from my own back pocket.
Unlike my opponents, I do not derive my power from friends in the media or from minions in state and federal offices. I derive my power from the volunteers I can muster and the votes I can deliver. I want little from politicians — mostly to be left in peace. If a politician disturbs my peace, I will do my best to fire them and hire someone else to do the job. That’s not bullying, or threatening, or undue influence, that’s the American ideal as expressed in the First Amendment — Americans expressing their will and support for the Constitution with our individual votes.
Unlike the Bradys and Bloombergs who advocate for regulation, limits, bans, and government controls over law-abiding citizens, I do not advocate government making any decision for any responsible individual. I do not advocate the arming of teachers or the arming of students, or the arming of anyone. Instead I oppose their being forcibly disarmed, and defend the right of all responsible people to make their own choices. I do not assume that thoughtful, responsible people will become heartless killers or mindless idiots because a gun is present. I reject the notion that “the trigger pulls the finger,” as some of my opponents have suggested. I trust responsible adult citizens to be responsible adults, and that trust has been proven consistently everywhere it has been given. I reject the idea that a sign on a wall or a policy in an employee handbook can, will, or ever has stopped someone intent on murder and mayhem from carrying out their criminal acts. To the contrary, I believe that such acts can and have been prevented and curtailed by responsible citizens who had the means and were willing to place themselves in harm’s way for the sake of others. I believe that it is wrong to disarm such people based on their job or where they happen to be.
I am the Gun Lobby. I am deeply rooted in the ideals and principles of this great nation. I am a true American and a true grass roots movement, not like the externally funded, Astroturf organizations that oppose me. Certainly there are honorable and committed individuals who truly believe that guns are the problem, that guns cause crime and that giving the State a monopoly on violence is the key to establishing a peaceful and safe society. I know that those people are wromg.
I am many, diverse, and have varying levels of knowledge and understanding, but I am unified by a single individual truth: that no one has the right to make me helpless in the face of violence to myself, my family, my community, or my country.

Newt Gingrich Stabs Gun Owners in the Back
"But the biggest knife that Newt plunged into the back of all Americans and gun owners who wish to defend themselves and their families, was his coming out in support of a national thumbprint database for gun owners," said [D.R. Leonard, Political Director of Georgia Gun Owners].
The government knows I own guns. They don't know what kind or how many. They don't need to know. They don't need my fingerprints, thumb print or DNA. Newt needs to figure out what "Shall not be Infringed" means.
I wouldn't trust this lying scumbag to be dog catcher. The sad thing is, Romney is no better when it comes to our right to bear arms. He signed a particularly nasty "assault weapons" ban when he was Governor. He claims now that he supports the 2nd Amendment. Sorry Willard, we don't trust you.
I truly hope they can find a candidate to run and beat Obama. I'm not holding m breath.

Time to review the rules.
Gun safety training seeks to instill a certain mindset and appropriate habits by following specific rules. The mindset is that firearms are inherently dangerous and must always be handled with care. Handlers are taught to treat firearms with respect for their destructive capabilities, and strongly discouraged from playing or toying with firearms, a common cause of accidents.
The rules of gun safety follow from this mindset.
Four Rules introduced by Colonel Jeff Cooper, which are:
1. All guns are always loaded.
2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
From the Des Moines Register we get these 5 incidents of hunters either shooting themselves or someone else.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources reported Tuesday night that Dalton Hicks, 20, was shot in the throat with a deer slug around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday south of Montezuma in Poweshiek County.
The shooter was aiming at a running deer. He violated rule 4.
Michael Ziemann, 36, accidentally shot himself in his right leg with a handgun.
Violated rule 2. I've hunted with a handgun before and I don't know how he did this.
Thomas S. Burns, 38, of Waterloo was shot while deer hunting at the Prairie Ridge area on Rathbun Lake in Appanoose County. Burns was hunting with a group of 21 hunters when one of the other hunters in his party shot at a running deer, hitting Burns in the midsection with a 12-gauge shotgun slug.
There's that pesky rule 4 again.
Benjamin Parker, 35, of Grinnell shot himself in the right foot with a deer slug northeast of Braddyville in Page County. His gun reportedly became entangled in some bags and discharged.
Rule one. That and carrying anything other than a loaded gun is just unsafe. If you are going to carry a gun, you should have nothing else in your hands.
Ryan Mills, 25, of Altoona was shot in the right thigh. Officials said Mills was blocking in a hunting party of about 12 people when a deer ran between him and other hunters in the group. The slug passed through a deer, striking Mills in the leg.
There's that rule 4 thing again.
Two of the examples people were hunting in large groups. I've always be of the opinion that driving deer toward someone waiting on them isn't hunting. I go with a friend and we find a nice spot and sit under a tree or in a portable blind. Where is the sport in shooting a deer that is running from your buddies. I've seen more white tails going away than I have shot, but the ones that I did get just made them that much better.
Study the rules. learn then, love them, live them. Being shot isn't fun. I'd rather spend my hunting time sitting out in the woods and watching the deer run away.

Busted: Occupy Buffalo Leader Caught in Numerous Lies About His Military Service
Christopher M. Simmance, a leader of Occupy Buffalo, told several media outlets that he served as many as three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Not only that, but he also claims to have been so severely injured by an RPG while in combat in Afghanistan, that he only has 10 years left to live. Army service records, however, show a very different story, reporting that Simmance was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington for three years and left active-duty in January 2001 — before the September 11 attacks.
I've meet a few of these posers before. They run down to the BX and buy some medals and think that makes them big war heroes. I spent just shy of 4 years in the Marines. Never once did I think of "embellishing" my service record. I spent some time with a line unit, 4th battalion 11t5h regiment. A artillery unit at 29 palms. I didn't go into combat. It was also one of the times I really enjoyed what I was doing. I was a radio operator/wireman. Our days consisted mostly of sitting around the comm shack and doing maintenance on radios and field phones. Pretty boring but necessary stuff.
This guy though, didn't even know enough geography to know where he supposedly was. According to the story he was in the "Valley of Elah". in Afghanistan. Except there is no such place. It was a pretty good Tommy Lee Jones Movie though. It's also the valley where David fought Goliath.
He also inflated his rank to Staff Sargent. Does that mean I can tell people I was a Captain? I always thought that was a cool rank. High enough to have some power and low enough to stay out of the really big trouble.
From the story we get this;
Simmance also did not earn any medals or awards that would indicate service in an overseas combat zone, Army records show.
When The News asked Simmance how to reconcile his statements with his Army record, he insisted the records are incomplete.
The military is fastidious about their record keeping. They have people that their only job is to make sure the records are up to date. If you blow your nose, someone somewhere is writing it down. This turd wouldn't know the truth if it bit him in the ass. Just who is he trying to impress anyway? Other of the flea bag crowd?
I will keep no exaggerating my service and honor the ones that have served in combat. Young men and women that deserve our respect. They are the true heroes, not this idiot that has to lie to his occupy buddies to try and get their respect. He should be occupying a jail cell.

Samuel L. Jackson Blames You, Not Guns
Samuel L. Jackson puts the blame for gun violence where it belongs, on the criminals. The gun haters have for years been trying to blame the guns. Guns are inanimate objects. They are a tool that can be used for good and bad alike. Over 6 million people in this country have a permit to carry. These are law abiding citizens that have taken responsibility for their safety. We know that the police cannot be there to protect us. Criminals don't bother with such legalities as permits or fill out a form when the buy a gun. That's why they are called criminals. Don't blame guns for crime, blame the criminals that commit them.

A sucsessful DGU
Every gun-hating asshat should be made to listen to this 911 call. The only thing that saved this woman's life was the gun in her hand. The stalker had 6 police complaints filed against him. Protective orders aren't worth the paper they are written on. Calling 911 will get help to you in a few minutes. The intruder will get to you in a few seconds. It's your choice, be a victim or be a survivor.

Random Thoughts for Veteran's Day
Mention the word ‘veteran’ and what do you think of? Chances are you think of a man that has seen combat in some capacity. Guadalcanal, Normandy, Bastogne, The Frozen Chosin, Pork Chop Hill, Khe Sanh, Hill 867, Ia Drang, Grenada, Panama, Afghanistan, Iraq…all of these places evoke a mental image of men in combat.

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry memorial fundraiser to be held Nov. 12
A Brian Terry Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Scottsdale International Auto Museum, in Scottsdale, AZ.
He was a Marine, Police Officer and lastly a B.O.R.T.A.C. Border Patrol Agent who gave the ultimate sacrifice protecting our borders here in Arizona.
Although I have never been a police officer or Border Patrol agent, I was a Marine. That makes Brian Terry my brother. The fact that he was also from Michigan just makes the bond that much tighter.
You can read the entire Brian here: http://www.rememberbrianterry.com/
On December 14, 2010, Brian was conducting operations as a member of the Border Patrol Tactical Unit in Nogales, Arizona. Brian and his team were targeting a “rip crew” who seek out to rob and assault drug runners. When Brian and his team encountered the 5 individuals in the “Peck Well” area near Rio Rico, Arizona shots were fired and Brian was shot in the lower back and mortally wounded during the exchange of gunfire and succumbed to his death on December 15, 2010.
Murdered by drug mules smuggling their crap into our country. The weapons found at the scene were tied to a ATF operation known as Fast & Furious. Guns that were allowed to be smuggled across the border to arm the cartels with American weapons. Agent Terry's life was wasted on a agenda. I pray that there will be justice for Agent Terry and for Agent Jamie Zapata and the hundreds of Mexican citizens murdered by our government.

Gun Haters are lying again
http://www.gunsmagazine.com/exclusive-wisconsin-carry-49-down-one-to-go/
Kristen Rand of the Violence Policy Center ramped things up a notch, claiming “Concealed carry permit holders don’t prevent mass shootings, they perpetrate them. They don’t support police, they shoot them.”
Really Kristen? Show me proof. I have carried a gun for years and I have never shot anyone, not even a cop. The way they tell it, with 6 million permit holders in the country, there should be bodies stacked up. So where are they? They don't exist, Except in the minds of the gun hatres. Here's my version of the famous line from Jerry McGuire, SHOW ME THE BODIES.
I have known a lot of cops over the years. Both professionally and as friends. I have always been a supporter of the police and the few times I've been stopped (my foot is a little heavy), I have always treated them with respect. And they have always treated me with respect. I have never even thought about shooting one. And I have participated in exactly ZERO mass shootings.
I think Kristen Rand and the VPC owe all leagal permit holders a big apology. But I'm not holding my breath.

Record-Low 26% in U.S. Favor Handgun Ban
A record-low 26% of Americans favor a legal ban on the possession of handguns in the United States other than by police and other authorized people.
That's bad news for the Brady Campaign against guns. It's no wonder their membership numbers are dwindling. There are more people that have become first time gun owners than at any other time. Now 60% of the people believe that we should enforce the laws on the books instead of passing more laws.
They also say that 45% of the homes in America own guns. This number is a little misleading. There are a lot of gun owners that will not tell someone on the phone if they own guns.

This is why "Barack Hussein Obama Wins Re-Election"
This is one of the best critiques of the Republican candidates I have seen. He has obviously put a lot of thought into this. Bob is actually the kind of person we need in office. Someone with the sense to know what is wrong. Not someone that tells us what they think we want to hear.
Why will this be the November 3, 2012 Headlines?
The Republican Party and the American people didn't learn a thing from the 2008 Presidential Election. The Republican Elite which are true RINOs(Republican in Name Only) are more interested in the the party status and power in Washington than the American people. If that were not the case John McCain would never have been nominated. The majority of Republican voters are conservative and don't want a RINO in the White House. As the Media tries to pick the Republican Nominee the American people blindly listen to the mainstream media projecting who they want to run against their boy Obama, twelve months from the Republican Convention. The Republican Elite go right along with them so as not to rock the boat and keep the status quo in Washington. The American people are not stupid, but they are uneducated about the Republic (we are not a democracy) and the founders philosophy. This is thanks to thirty years of Government controlled schools and teachers union influence. Without a knowledge of our founding, our government and the relationship of our founding to gospel doctrine the average person cannot make an educated decision on how to vote. That being said most Conservatives are more educated than the average person and the Republican Party Elite is alienating the the 40% of the population that is conservative and the Conservative Christian Vote. If the Republican Party does not put the people first they will end up with another John McCain candidate. A non-conservative neochristian which will ensure the re-election of Barack Hussein Obama. Why can't Media sponsored candidates can't beat Barack Hussein Obama?
Herman Cain currently leads in the polls, but he is unelectable. You ask why. Herman Cain cannot beat Barack Hussein Obama because,
1. He's black, no black man will beat Obama especially without the Conservative Christian Vote .
2. He's not conservative enough. His 9-9-9 plan sounds great, but when you run the numbers most Americans taxes will go up. The consumption tax is a great idea, the flat tax is a great idea, but 9-9-9 will destroy America with out first totally eliminating the Income tax and the IRS. As long as we do not have a balance budget amendment the liberals and socialist in congress will continue to spend more than we have and the US will continue to decline. An independent analysis of his tax plan, released Tuesday, concluded otherwise. The Tax Policy Center, a Washington think tank, said Cain’s plan would increase taxes on 84 percent of U.S. households, hitting low- and medium- income households the hardest. The analysis said that households making $10,000 to $20,000 would see whopping tax increases averaging $2,705 – an increase of nearly 950 percent.
3. Cain is a Federalist, in the last debate the former Federal Reserve insider Herman Cain brazenly lied during the Republican debate when
he denied that he had opposed an audit of the Fed, a claim that was proved false within hours by Ron Paul’s campaign team.
4. He is not knowledgeable on Gun Rights and The Second Amendment. His position is Gun Control is a States Right issue. Gun owners trust his position on Gun Control?
5. Herman Cain has no real political experience.
Mitt Romney, It should be obvious why Mitt Romney is unelectable.
1. He's a Liberal, he's so liberal it's hard to classify him as a RINO rather than a Democrat
2. He's Anti-Gun , Pro Gun Control.
3. He's Pro Socialized Medicine, Author of Romney Care. Romney does not want to repeal Obama Care. Obama Care is bases on Romney Care and was developed with input and support of Romney aids and Jonathan Gruper, Romney's aid and confidant for Romney Care.
4. He's a Mormon, that is not a bad thing, but the Liberal Media has demonized the Mormon faith to where having a Muslim President would be better in many peoples eyes. Perception become reality in politics.
5. He believes in Man Made Global Warming
6 He is in favor of Amnesty for illegals yet he gives Perry a trashing on Immigration. He is a hypocrite. In the Oct 19 debate the most ` important part of the exchange between Romney and Perry on illegal Immigration, Romney said" You can't have illegal’s working on our property; I'm running for office, for Pete's sake I can't have illegal’s." The issue was how it would look for Romney, not the fact that he had Illegals working for him.
Rick Perry is the longest serving Texan Governor in history. He has made a number of controversial decisions that could undermine his ability to beat Barack Hussein Obama. He has changed his position on a number of issues in the past few years to become a dogmatic nationalist and a social and fiscal conservative and a big States Rights supporter. His hard stance on several explosive issues, such as abortion, firearms, same-sex marriages and capital punishment provokes a reaction outside of the conservative circles. Honest to a fault and admits his mistakes.
The question is will he stay that way in the White House.
1. The media hates him because he a Christian Conservative and he's from Texas.
2. His position on funding for illegal immigrant Education has conservatives split on Perry. The fact is that the Texas law says if you have been a resident of Texas for two years you qualify for in-state tuition. The law does not require proof of citizenship.(see below)
3. His poor performance in the debate format may be his undoing
Ron Paul Who the Hell is Ron Paul? The most ignored Candidate in history. The only true Constitutionalist running for President and he makes no apologies for it. Ron Paul has been cast in the role of the misfit, the eccentric and the unelectable; securely kept within the fringes of the Republican Party. The mainstream media shuns him and ignores his poll numbers. He believes in small governments, non- expansionist foreign policy, gold-backed currency, personal liberty and abolishing federal income taxes. He holds the most conservative voting record in Congress and he is also the biggest advocate for the dismantling of the Federal Reserve. We is the only candidate that would follow the Constitution to the letter. Has the "Restore America Plan" to balance the Federal Leviathan's budget in just 3 years and pay down the Debt.
His following is force to be reckoned with and will likely decide if the republicans win or loose the White House in 2012.
1. Paul first ran for president as a Libertarian.
2. His policies scare a lot of the Washington Elite and the Liberal Media.
3. He has some controversial positions the media exploits on a public ignorant of the Constitution.
4. He is considered the Godfather of the Tea Party.
5. He isn't physically attractive enough for some voters.
6. His isolationist position and position on bringing our troops home scares many people.
7. His plan to Balance the Budget in three years and pay down the national debt scares the poverty pimps and unions.
Michele Bachmann She is also smart, attractive, and telegenic. She’s got charisma, as well as sharp eyes and ears for the issues on which she can separate herself and the biting examples/phrases that will get her points across. Even with the support of the Tea Party it will be a tough Race.
1. She does have the support of Republican Elite.
2. There are some who are not ready for a woman in the White House particularly some of the Evangelical Christian and Muslims.
3. She has made some serious gaffes and misspeaks that the liberals and media will capitalize on and run into the ground.
4. The media and democrats are afraid of her and will savagely go after her as they did Sarah Palin.
Newt Gingrich Newt is a great intellectual thinker and historian. Author of the Contract with America. he is a great speaker and has a lot of great ideas, but he is un-electable in a presidential race.
1. Newt has a lot of personal baggage that will be drug out in a national race.
2. The Republican Elite are not behind him.
3. His commentary though correct is often divisive.
4. He is not a leader. He says the right things, but he does not lead men. This is evident by the troubles he has had keeping his campaign team together.
5. He caved and made deals with Bill Clinton that betrayed his conservative followers when he was House Speaker.
6. He believes in Man Made Global Warming.
7. He is pro-Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants
8. He resigned from congress amid ethics violations.
Jon Huntsman is unelectable as a Republican. Someone screwed up letting him in the party. He a personal friend of Barack Hussein Obama.
1. A former Mormon missionary , the Media will have field day with this.
2. High school dropout (he obtained his G.E.D a few years later).
3. RINO
4. He believes in Man Made Global Warming
IN CLOSING
Don't get me wrong. I think Ron Paul, Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann would be a huge improvement over Barack Hussein Obama. Personally I would vote for Mickey Mouse, the Tooth Fairy or maybe even the Devil Himself, over Barack Hussein Obama. At least we would know what we were voting for then. Republicans have to quit fighting amongst themselves. As Hank Williams Jr. said, Barack Hussein Obama is the enemy in this fight, not fellow Republicans. The Republican Candidates who have no chance of winning need to drop out of the race and the Republican Party needs to decide if its more conservative or more socialist. Ignore the damn media, quit the games, the life blood of our republic is at stake. This country is bankrupt. The world is at war. People are in the streets calling for violent revolution and the President and Democratic Leadership are encouraging them, saying they are behind them. Our borders are open to anyone. Forty-seven million Americans are on welfare. Forty-nine percent of American households pay no income tax. The federal government borrows $58,000 every second. Our economy is a shell game that will fail if it is not stopped soon. This is not the America I grew up in. This is not the America I expect my grandchildren to grow up in. We must return to our core beliefs, our founding and our God. If you do not fight in the realm of political ideas now, you doom your children to fighting in the streets.

JPFO responds to Jewish Democrat group’s twisted accusation.
Our Friends at JPFO are on the ball.
by Rabbi Dovid Bendory, Rabbinic Director,
Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership.

Rabbi Bendory
The National Jewish Democratic Council has gratuitously attacked JPFO in a blog posting. Here’s their attack:
(Portions of the NJDC commentary are presented below and are followed by comments from JPFO’s Rabbinic Director.)
NJDC Denounces Depiction of Eric Holder in Nazi Uniform
NJDC — October 12, 2011 – 11:17 am
"The National Jewish Democratic Council denounces the photo shopped images of Attorney General Eric Holder as a Nazi and former Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives head Ken Melson as Nuremberg defendant as posted by Mike Vanderboegh—a right wing blogger who has appeared recently on Fox News and was honored in September by Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (JPFO)."
"Unfortunately, after allowing individuals such as Glenn Beck and Hank Williams, Jr. to use Holocaust rhetoric during their appearances on the air, it is unlikely that Fox News will do the right thing and repudiate Vanderboegh. Indeed, Fox News’ own chief executive compared NPR executives to the Nazis and lashed out at those criticizing the network for allowing such behavior to take place.
That leaves JPFO—a Jewish group that recently awarded Vanderboegh — to act responsibly and make it clear that his behavior is unacceptable."
[The full article can be found here.]http://www.njdc.org/blog/post/fnc101211
JPFO’s response:
The NJDC has orchestrated a blatant distraction.
The National Jewish Democratic Council, along with every other left wing anti-gun group, is desperately trying to distract Americans from the felonious scandal known as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives’ (BATFE’s) "Fast and Furious".
Note that the NJDC does not mention why JPFO gave the "David and Goliath Award" to Vanderboegh (and his associate David Codrea). The fact is that Vanderboegh and Codrea unearthed an international political and law enforcement scandal that makes Watergate look like school yard hijinks. [Learn more about the award.]
The NJDC insinuates that JPFO is somehow involved with the satirical images that it (NJDC) finds distasteful … or that we even presented an award for the satire. In fact, the award we presented -- which predates the satire in question -- was for exposing a scandal far darker than any satire anyone could possibly create with photoshop.
For the record, Vanderboegh described in historical detail the reason for his satirical images. Any Holocaust connection is a ludicrous stretch:
http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2011/10/editors-note-correction-and-apology.html
Eric Holder is covering up "Fast and Furious" and he will perhaps be tossed under the bus by his Superior. Vanderboegh likens Holder’s dilemma to Hitler’s orders to Nazi General von Paulus at Stalingrad to fight down to the last man. Vanderboegh compared Eric Holder’s hopeless situation to that of a general in a suicidal battle. This is "Holocaust rhetoric"?
Or perhaps the comparison has its merits? Holder’s final fate will likely have much to do with what he has on his boss. After all, a finger pointed at the Oval Office might keep Holder out of jail. Could it be that -- in Vanderboegh’s words -- Eric Holder has been sent on a suicide mission, having been "assigned by Barack Obama to defend the DOJ kessel of the Gunwalker Plot Cover-up to the last man"?
Vanderboegh then compared ex-BATFE Acting Director Kenneth Melson (he finally got "reassigned", we should remember) to a defendant in a war crimes tribunal. Might this comparison also be appropriate? Maybe the National Jewish Democratic Council should ask the Attorney General of Mexico -- or the families of any of the victims murdered by drug runners armed by the BATFE in Fast and Furious -- if they would like to see charges filed against Melson or Holder?
Could it be that NJDC simply doesn’t want America to pay attention to what happened in Fast and Furious? Or to what this grotesque operation says about the Obama administration?
Someone very high up gave the order to launch "Fast and Furious". If Holder knew about it, his order was criminal; if he didn’t, he was criminally negligent in his oversight of BATFE (or of his own DOJ, if the orders originated there). Instead of attacking Vanderboegh for his satire or attempting to besmirch JPFO for awarding Vanderboegh’s history making journalism, why doesn’t the NJDC go after the truth in "Fast and Furious"?
We at JPFO emphatically stand by our award to Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea, and furthermore we hope that both these freedom loving Americans will someday be considered for Pulitzer Prizes for their outstanding investigative work.
We are repulsed by the orchestrated distraction and moral corruption demonstrated by those who support the Obama Administration and its perverse ethics in this matter.
"Fast and Furious" functioned as an evidence planting scheme that would support the Obama administration’s lies regarding the supply of American guns to the Mexican drug cartels.
The lie seemed to be working as the BATFE knowingly planted thousands of guns in the hands of the murderous cartels. As could be expected, those guns surfaced in crime scenes that involved the murders of hundreds of innocents. Were it not for patriots like Mike Vanderboegh, David Codrea, and a small and courageous group of honest BATFE agents (who broke the story to Vanderboegh) this administration would still embrace the evil and bloody manipulations of "Fast and Furious".
I beseech American Jews to distance themselves from organizations like NJDC that support the "Fast and Furious" regime. Visit the web site of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (www.jpfo.org). Educate yourselves about the BATFE. And then wake up!
Blessings and Shalom,

Gun control lies that just won't die
The tragic shooting in Nevada at the IHOP has got the anti-gun crowd pulling out all of the standard lies about guns and gun owners. One of the biggest lies they tell is that gun owners are walking around with "assault" weapons. A assault weapon is defined as a lightweight, shoulder fired, select-fire weapon. The rifles that civilians own are not select fire, they are semi-auto only. Big difference.
http://www.rgj.com/article/20111025/NEWS/110230362/1002
Lie #1."There's no reason for an AK-47 or an M-16 or an M-4 to be in a civilian's home."
There aren't. These are true assault weapons and are highly regulated. If you wanted to own one of these, you have to go through a extensive background check and pay the government a $200.00 tax. These weapons can cost $10,000.00 or more. Not something that someone would use in a crime.
Lie #2.Semi-automatic assault weapons can easily be converted into automatic weapons -- which are the same thing as machine guns -- with a simple kit available online or at gun shows, officials said.
Nope. The parts that can convert a semi-auto to full-auto are as heavily regulated as the rifles they are installed in. I have never seen a "kit" at a gun show or online. And I have looked. This lie has been around for years.
Lie #3."There are almost no positive laws in Nevada to keep guns away from dangerous people,"
Dangerous people are usually felons. It is against federal law for a felon to possess any kind of firearm. What good is any law if the miscreant is going to ignore it any way. Only the law abiding obey the law. Sad fact that these anti's have never learned.
Lie #4 the current system for federally registering machine guns is problematic because federal law prohibits the ATF from telling local law enforcement who has the guns.
Technically, this is both a lie and the truth. The ATF does not inform the locals about the sale of class 3 weapons. The purchaser, when filling out the forms has to forward a copy to the local chief law enforcement officer for the area, whether it's the Chief of Police or the Sheriff. So the truth is, they know who owns the true assault weapons.
There are some other half truth spread out through the article. I like the way they brought up the Tucson shooting. The sheriff knew the shooter was a nut job, but because his family were friends and supporters, he didn't do anything. If the sheriff had done his job, the shooter would not have been able to legally purchase a gun.
The anti's never have anything but emotion and fear. Their idea is to mislead the public. If they can make people think that these are "machineguns", so much the better. And the press has been a willing accomplice. There are a lot of other "facts" they conveniently leave out of their screeds, the fact that guns are used defensively over 2 million times a year. A lot of times without firing a shot.
Nevada National Guard Sgt. Caitlin Kelley, one of the victims in the IHOP attack, thinks there should be a ban. Even though she took a oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. I guess even the people in the Military can decide what rights they want to trample.

Two Iowa mayors want you left at the mercy of the government and other thugs.
The group mayors against illegal guns (MAIG) ran a full page ad in USA Today predicting more doom and gloom.
http://mayorsagainstillegalguns.org/downloads/pdf/usa-today-10-20.pdf
In the signatures at the bottom are 2 Iowa Mayors. Mayor Cownie of Des Moines and Mayor William Gluba of Davenport.
Why are 2 of Iowa's mayors even involved in a rabidly anti-gun bunch of fools headed by Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg claims their group is against illegal guns. The truth is, they are against guns for anyone except law enforcement and military. Now they are railing against a bill that would allow law abiding citizens the right to carry in all states that have a permit system. The only state without such a system is Illinois.
HR822 would Make our carry permits like drivers licences in a way. That means that someone with a Iowa permit would be allowed to carry in any state. With the one exception noted above. Of course Bloomberg and all the other anti-gun loons are predicting doom and gloom. More of the "blood in the streets" lies that are all they know. Representative Carolyn Malone of New York had this to say:
this travesty of a bill would make it legal for a known terrorist or child molester in Arizona to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon, buy a large-caliber gun and all the cop-killer bullets he could get his hands on, tuck them into his trenchcoat, and take a little trip to NYC -- maybe right to the middle of Times Square or down to Ground Zero.
It's hard to believe that in this day and age anyone could be that stupid. And this person is a US Representative? This is the anti-gun mind set. If you are a law abiding citizen, as soon as you get a permit and a handgun, you will become a raving lunatic looking for someone to shoot. Of course the truth is that permit holders tend to be more law abiding than normal. We know that the carrying of a weapon is a very large responsibility and we do not take it lightly. In all of the years I have been around, I have never seen a shoot out over a fender bender or parking space.
The bad news for our mayors is the new shall issue law that went into effect last January 1st. According to the new law, Iowa accepts a legal carry permit from any state. So as far as Iowa and a few other states are concerned, HR822 is not going to change anything. We already honor everyone permits.
We, the legal permit holders of Iowa need to take these two to task. The should resign from this organization and put as much distance between them and Bloomy as possible. Remember that this organization has some really fine members.
http://robertsgunshop.blogspot.com/2011/07/mayors-against-illegal-guns-are-such.html
There are several ways to contact Mayor Cownie. E-mail fcownie@dmgov.org
City Hall Phone: (515) 283-4944
Home Phone: (515) 255-3644
For mayor Gluba, mayorgluba@ci.davenport.ia.us 563-326-7701
Send them e-mails and call them on the phone. Respectfully ask them to resign from MAIG.
This is the e-mail I have sent to Mayor Cownie. Feel free to use any or all of it.
I have just learned that in Iowa, 2 Mayors have signed the MAIG full page ad in USA Today opposing the passage of HR 822. Something that may have slipped each of your minds when you signed this ad is the fact that here in Iowa, Shall issue passed and was signed by the Governor. This means that as of last January 1st, Iowa now accepts as valid ANY Concealed Handgun Permit or the equivalent issued by any state in the union. This means that as of last January 1st, Iowa adopted precisely the rules that HR822 will bring to the rest of the Union.
Maybe both of you mayors should seriously consider leaving MAIG. It is clear that Mike Bloomberg has no interest in telling you the truth about the laws. Would you have signed this ad if you knew that the principal that 822 supports is already signed into law here in Ia?
This action by you and your organization makes it clear that even though you call yourselves Mayors Against Illegal Guns, you are just another anti-gun organization. The guns carried by Ia. PCW holders, and by the holders of the equivalent out of state permits are, by definition, not illegal. They are guns carried by the most law abiding people in the world. Not a single state will issue a CHP or the equivalent to a felon, a domestic abuser, a drug addict, or a mental incompetent. By your actions you prove that you don't really care about Illegal guns. You are opposed to all guns and to all gun owners.
Respectfully,
Robert A. Fowler

What if they want your life?
http://www.examiner.com/gun-rights-in-st-louis/st-louis-man-just-gives-robbers-what-they-want-is-killed
A local man is dead at age 63 today, despite having obeyed the two armed robbers demanding his money Thursday. From the St. Louis Post Dispatch:
Willie Perkins cooperated with an armed robber by giving him cash, but the gunman then shot Perkins to death on a St. Louis street Thursday night, police say.
I've heard people say that you should cooperate with criminals so they won't hurt you. Are you willing to trust your life to someone that has no resoect for life? The man in the story cooperated and ended up dead anyway. According to the srory the criminals are still at large.
I'm not inclined to turn over what'ss mine to some thug that's never had a job and thinks he can take what ever they want. It's a dangerous proposition, but if they are going to try and kill you anyway, you might as well go out fighting. What I am willing to give them is a copper and lead sleeping pill.
As National Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea once asked of someone who had repeated the "just give him what he wants" advice, "What if 'what he wants' is your life?"

How did Obama know about Fast and Furious before Holder?
http://www.examiner.com/gun-rights-in-national/hiding-plain-sight-how-did-obama-know-about-gunwalker-before-holder
“CNN's John King discovers an interview with President Barack Obama that directly refutes Attorney General Eric Holder's testimony before congress,” the caption for a video posted on BreitbartTV claims.
David does a good job exposing the "I didn't know" lie.
http://www.breitbart.tv/how-did-obama-know-about-fast-and-furious-before-holder/#.Tpeh37s42nw.twitter
How did Obama know about it before Holder. Would this be the same holder that made a speech in 09 touting a "new" approch? My guess is that Holder commited perjery in front of Congress. And Represenative Cummings continues to carry the Obama/Holder water. His idea of justice for the 2 federal agents and the hundreds of civilians is more gun control. How do people this stupid continue to get re-elected?

Grenades? What's next? Nukes?
CBS news reporter Sharyl Attkisson reports about the ATF allowing grenade parts to cross the border. There were enough parts to construct 2000 grenades. CBS is a little late to the party. This was well known over a month ago.
David Codrea, National Gun Rights Examiner and columist for Guns magazine was on to this in early September.
http://www.examiner.com/gun-rights-in-national/federal-leo-advocacy-group-charges-retaliation-for-gunwalker-testimony
Here was the set-up:
“[I]nvestigators focused on a delivery of inert grenade hulls which occurred in November 2009. These hulls were intercepted and marked by ATF, for the purpose of identifying whether or not the suspect was, in fact, making IEDs. In this instance, the USAO had indicated that ATF should not allow the suspect to export the items even though the USAO would not prosecute the suspect if he was caught exporting them [emphasis in original]…The USAO had made it clear that it would not prosecute the case as an export violation.”
The story was also on the blog Sipsey street irregulars. http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2011/09/grenades.html
Both of these articles appeared on September 5th. So why did CBS wait until October 14th to report the story? At least they have someone working on it. Fox has been doing some reporting on it. Where are ABC and NBC? Their silence is defening. You can bet that if this was under a Republican president that it woyuld be the lead story every night.
I have heard people campare this to Watergate. I wasn't aware that there was a large body count in Watergate. So far in the Fast & Furious scandal we have 2 federal agents and untold hundreds of Mexican citizens that have died over this administartions agenda. Where is the cry for justice?
This story from CNN gives a clue as to where these grenade components went.
http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/americas/08/26/mexico.grenade.attack/index.html
At least 53 killed in Mexico grenade attack
From yesterdays CBS story we get this.
Police say Jean Baptiste Kingery, a U.S. citizen, was a veritable grenade machine. He's accused of smuggling parts for as many as 2,000 grenades into Mexico for killer drug cartels -- sometimes under the direct watch of U.S. law enforcement.
We know who was doing the smuggling and we know where they went.

Beggining of the end for Holder?
The House oversight committee headed by Representative Darrell Issa has issued a subpoena to Attorney General Eric Holder. The range of dates for the e-mails and other communications shows that they know what they are looking for. I truly hope they find the truth and get justice for BP agent Terry, ICE agent Zapata and the hundreds of innocent Mexican citizens that have been killed by the guns this administration have let go to the cartels. Felony or Felony Stupid: ATF shouldn’t be Rewarded
Jeff Knox has been a long time advocate of our 2nd Amendment rights. He hits the nail on the head here. The Government is working to make a illegal registry of gun owners. The Gun Control Act of 1968 specifically omitted long guns from the reporting requirements. Congress is supposed to make laws. Not some bureaucrat that doesn't answer to the people. What they are trying to do is Unconstitutional.
by Jeff Knox
Representative Darrel Issa (R-CA) referred to the activities of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) Operation Fast and Furious as "felony stupid." Others have suggested that the plan was intentionally designed and cleverly crafted to bolster statistics in support of stricter gun control laws. Whether the operation was just stupid or intentionally criminal, it was clearly bad behavior on the part of ATF and Justice Department (DOJ) and such bad behavior should not be rewarded.
Some members of Congress, Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and Elijah Cummings (D-MD) in particular, want to reward ATF and DOJ's criminal stupidity with increased funding and increased authority through tighter regulation of firearms dealers and lawful firearm purchasers. ATF has introduced – and the Administration has now approved – and "emergency" regulatory change requiring firearms dealers in border states to report any purchaser who buys more than one semi-auto rifle greater than a .22 within a given week. The US House of Representatives promptly, and properly, rejected the new regulations by passing an appropriations rider prohibiting any funds from being used to enact or enforce the plan.
Proponents of the regulation argue that it gives ATF an important tool to help detect straw buyers and traffickers and that it poses little inconvenience to lawful gun buyers. Many on our side disagree, but usefulness and inconvenience aside, the fact is that Congress has looked at long gun reporting in the past and rejected the idea. For ATF and the Obama administration to now push forward, bypassing Congress, in order to do something Congress has previously refused to do is clearly overreaching and probably illegal. If Congress had passed a law setting auto mileage standards, but had specifically chosen to omit larger pickups from those standards, it would be outrageous for some bureaucracy to later enact regulations including trucks. This case is no different except that it is questionable whether even Congress has the authority to regulate firearms sales. Unelected bureaucrats certainly don't.
The regulation also creates a de facto registration system, something Congress has expressly forbidden on numerous occasions, and it puts additional burdens – and liabilities – on the gun dealers. ATF claims that the records will be destroyed after two years, but ATF and DOJ have long histories of reneging on such guarantees, even when they are spelled out in law.
Purchase of multiple firearms within a week is not particularly uncommon and doing so should not make a person a suspect, nor should it result in their personal information being stored in government systems. Also, if the regulation does go into effect, it will be no time at all until ATF will be demanding that the reporting requirement be expanded beyond the border states. It will become the "multiple sales non-reporting loophole" and they will insist that all states need to follow the reporting requirements.
Firearms dealers are stuck between a rock and a hard place. They want to honor and respect customers' rights, but ATF controls their licenses and the laws and regulations hold dealers responsible for things they "should have known." Dealers have to pass up business and/or alert ATF when they suspect possible criminal activity. Not doing so can have serious consequences. A New Mexico dealer is in jail today because the local police chief in the town of Columbus was allegedly trafficking guns to Mexico. The ATF says the dealer "should have known" so he is considered a co-conspirator. He could lose everything for selling guns to the Police Chief!
At the same time, gun owners can be very unforgiving of dealers who they perceive as "too cooperative" with ATF so dealers have to be careful about that too. Still, dealers don't want to be selling guns to criminals as demonstrated during Operation Fast and Furious when dealers repeatedly expressed reservations about doing business with suspicious characters and ATF insisted that they go forward with sales. Mandatory multi-sale reporting increases dealers’ paperwork load, but relieves them of some judgment calls. It might make things generally easier on dealers in the short term, but it would probably make things worse for them in the long run.
Perhaps the most important reason to deny ATF's long-gun registration regulation is, as stated earlier, that whether you're dealing with dogs, children, or bureaucrats, it is always a mistake to reward bad behavior. ATF and DOJ (including the US Attorney's Office and possibly the FBI and DEA) behaved badly. They encouraged and forced sales of some 2000 firearms (that we know of) to known Mexican gun traffickers and then they turned their backs and allowed those guns to disappear into the black market and to crime scenes in Mexico and the US, including the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. They did this in violation of long-standing rules of operation and common sense as well as international law. They did not do this in response to weak US gun laws or a need for multi-gun reporting. These straw buyers were already known and under surveillance. Politically motivated felony or just felony stupid, this was bad behaviorany way you look at it and it should not be rewarded with increased authority, increased responsibility, and increased funding.
ATF, DOJ, the US Attorney's Office, and any other agency involved in this fiasco need to be slapped down, not rewarded, and responsible individuals should be prosecuted.

Fast and Furious. The administrations plan for gun control
For those that haven't been following the governments attempt to vilify law abiding citizens, here is enough reading to bring everyone up to speed. ATF made some Arizona and Texas gun dealers make questionable sales against the wishes of the dealers. They allowed these weapons to be smuggled to Mexico, supposedly to catch the "big fish". What happened was they lost track of the guns until they started showing up at crime scenes. In December of last year, Agent Brian Terry of the border patrol was murdered by one of the guns the ATF was supposed to be tracking. Then in Feb. of this year, Special Agent Jaime Zapata, 32, died and a second agent, Victor Avila, was wounded when cartel members shot up the suburban they were driving.
We have 2 federal agents dead with guns that the ATF allowed to cross the boarder and into the possession of cartel members. All in the name of more gun control. Attorney General Holder claims in March that he didn't know anything about the operation. However, there is video evidence that he knew in 2009 when he talked about a "radical new program" to stop the guns from reaching the cartels.
Holder, as the top cop, is responsible for the actions of those under him. Allowing ATF to let guns "walk" across the border is criminal. Holder needs to be removed from office and if the evidence shows proof, tried and sent to prison. He has the blood of 3 agents and untold Mexican and American citizens on his hands. The basis for this plan was as Holder stated in 09, right after his confirmation, was to re-instate a new and improved "assault weapons" ban. Assault weapons being anything that they decide it is.
People need to be writing their Senators and Representatives and demanding answers. Richard Nixon was forced to resign of the break in of a hotel room. A break in where no one died. We need to demand to know just high does this go. Does it just go to Holder or does it go all the way to Obama? If it does, is this Obama's Watergate? Senator Grassley and Representative Issa are demanding answers and are being stonewalled at every turn. It's time to support our Senator and demand help in getting to the truth. No matter the consequences.

Mayors against illegal guns are such fine citizens.
Mayor Bloomberg and his bunch of misguided anti-gun useful idiots are proving to the world what wonderful citizens they are.
The latest fine Mayor, Mayor Richard Corkery of Coaldale, Pennsylvania has been arrested on 28 counts of possession of child pornography. Pictures of underage boys were found on his computer.
This brings to at least 12 of Bloomy's group that have either been charged or are serving time for the crimes they have committed.
Shall we look at the list. Let's start in my home state of Michigan.
Kwame Kilpatrick, Former mayor of Detroit.
Charges: Perjury, obstruction of justice, and misconduct in office. Later, re-arrested on two counts of felonious assault on officers. Jailed for violating conditions of bond.
Outcome: Guilty plea to two counts of perjury and one of assault on an officer. Sentenced to four months in jail and five years of probation.
Shiela Dixon, City: Baltimore, Maryland
Status: Current member, despite felony conviction, of Mayors Against Illegal Guns. She hosted Mayor Bloomberg at its 2008 regional summit.
Charges: Fraud, perjury, embezzling gift cards meant for the poor; investigated for receiving thousands of dollars in illicit gifts.
Outcome: Awaiting sentencing after being convicted of embezzlement and pleading guilty to perjury.
Eddie Perez, City: Hartford, CT.
Status: current member of Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
Charges: bribery, fabricating evidence, conspiracy. Arrested a second time, on extortion charges.
Resolution: Awaiting trial.
Gary Becker, City: Racine, Wisconsin
Status: Former member, Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
Charges: Possession of child pornography, showing pornography to a child, sexual assault on a child, enticing children, and lesser felonies,
Resolution: Plea of guilty to sexual assault on a child and child enticement. Awaiting sentencing.
April Almon, City: New Haven, Connecticut
Status: Current Member, Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
Charge: Interfering with police officers.
Outcome: Awaiting trial.
Memorable Quote: "Well, now, I will tell you and I will have this talk with the Chief, but I have f__king had it with Officer Sorbo playing cute down here at the beach."
David Delle Donna, City: Guttenberg, New Jersey
Status: Former member, Mayors Against Illegal Guns
Charges: Extortion, mail fraud, tax evasion
Outcome: Convicted of extortion and tax fraud. Sentenced to four years' imprisonment.
Frank Melton, City: Jackson, Mississippi
Status: Former member, Mayors Against Illegal Guns
Charges: Conspiracy to violate civil rights (by tearing down a person's house), commission of a violent crime while possessing a handgun
Outcome: First trial ended in a hung jury. He died a few days before the retrial.
Amusing event: In 2006, the same year he joined Mayors Against Illegal Guns, he was convicted of violating a "gun free school zone" law and bans on carrying guns in church.
Can you say hypocrite.
Samuel Rivera, City: Passaic, New Jersey
Status: Former member, Mayors Against Illegal Guns
Charges: Many: before taking office, convicted of covering up a homicide. After, indicted for extortion and taking a bribe.
Outcome: Plea of guilty, sentence of 21 months' imprisonment.
Will Wynn, City: Austin, Tx.
Status: Former member, Mayors Against Illegal Guns
Charge: Assault
Outcome: Guilty plea. Sentenced to community service.
Jeremiah Healy, City: Jersey City, New Jersey
Status: Current member, Mayors Against Illegal Guns
Charges and Outcomes: Quite a rap sheet. In 1999, convicted of disorderly conduct. In 2007, convicted of resisting arrest. Presently, he is a suspect in an official corruption probe.
Larry Langford, City: Birmingham, Alabama
Status: Former member, Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
Charges: Indicted on 101 counts of bribery, fraud, money laundering and tax evasion.
Outcome: Convicted on 60 felony counts; awaiting sentencing.
This is a really fine bunch our Mayor has decided to affiliate himself with. He should resign immediately and put as much distance from them as possible. Anything else is showing support for the lawbreakers that want us under their thumb.

Mayors using deliberate lies in antigun campaign
Mayor Bloomberg of New York and the leader of Mayors Against Illegal Guns is at it again. He and his minions, including Mayor Cownie, have decided that the best way to get their message across is to perpetuate a outright lie. They are currently running a ad featuring A American Al Quida mouthpiece telling terrorists that they need to go to gunshows and purchase "fully automatic" firearms. This is the outright lie that Bloomberg is using. Fully automatic firearms are strictly controlled under the National Firearms Act of 1934. To purchase a fully auto firearm, you must submit to a FBI background check that can take as long as 6 months to complete. Then you pay a $200 tax plus the cost of the weapon. A price that can run into the thousands. Bloomberg knows this and still continues to spread the lies.
Bloomberg's organization claims to be against illegal guns. There is no such thing as a "illegal" gun. Every gun manufactured since 1968 has to have a serial number. There is also a paper trail on every one from manufacturer to distributor to dealer to end user. There is illegal use of a firearm and there are illegal owners, commonly called criminals. What Bloomberg and company really want is to disarm every law abiding citizen in the country. They think that if only the police and military had all the guns life would be grand. Not considering that when only the police and military have all the guns, it's called a police state. Personally, if I wanted to live in a police state there is always Cuba or North Korea.
Everyone in Des Moines needs to be writing to Mayor Cownie and demand that he resign from such a anti American organization. His continued membership sends the message that he doesn't care a bit about the right of the people. He can be contacted here;

Anyone that thinks this is strictly a 2nd Amendment issue is sadly mistaken. If they will try and take away one right, which one will be next? !st? 4th? Of course the 4th has been dealt a couple serious blows here lately.
Putting the blame for crime is a common tactic of the citizen disarmament crowd. Instead of calling for stiffer sentences for criminals let's vilify the law abiding. It's easier than changing the catch and release criminal system. Protecting our rights against these interlopers is everyone's business. It takes each and every citizen to maintain the Republic that our Founders envisioned.

Gunwalker, What was the real purpose?
It's been theorized that the Fast and Furious scandal run by the ATF was a ploy to secure more funding. This is a very possible reason. Of course some believe that it was to show a problem to justify reinstating the 1994 Assault Weapons ban. A ban that did absolutely nothing. In the ten years the ban was in effect there was no significant drop in crime attributable to so called assault weapons.
Assault weapons by definition are select fire. This means they will fire either full or semi automatic. Weapons that are select fire are highly regulated under NFA34. It takes a background check, a 200 dollar tax and then the cost of the weapon it's self to own one. Because of all of this regulation these things run into the thousands of dollars. Not something someone is going to use in a crime.
Back to the original thought. Both are valid points. They can point to all of the guns traced and beg for more funding because of the "problem". A side benefit is that they can point at the numbers and declare a problem that can only be solved by renewing the AWB. So a few hundred Mexicans and a couple of federal agents died. It's for the greater good. This total disregard for human life should infuriate everyone. We should be demanding answers and yet a lot of the main stream media is still ignoring the story.
Here's why I tend to believe that the major part of the plan was to reinstate the AWB. One of the first things out of Holder's mouth when he was confirmed was that he wanted to reinstate the AWB. He was quickly told by the WH to shut up. Then we have Obama himself telling queen Sarah that they are "working" on gun control "under the radar".
Holder claims he didn't know what was going on. I think he did and in fact ordered it to proceed. If he did, he is complicit in the deaths of hundreds of Mexican citizens and 2 federal officers. If he didn't, as he claims, He's incompetent and unfit for the job and should either resign or be removed immediately.
This could go as high as the Oval Office. If it does there should be impeachment proceedings started and remove Obama from office. It at least goes as high as Holder. Melson is going to testify and I would bet before he does that he will make some kind of sweet deal. I look for him to sing like the proverbial canary.
I also think the firing of Vince Cefalu was a very big mistake. He's been around long enough to know where a lot of the bodies are buried. I hope the other agents are watching his back. It would be a travesty if he had a heart attack or a fatal car accident before he gets to talk.
Every concerned citizen should be writing and calling your Representatives and Senators and demanding answers. Why was ATF allowed to let known straw purchasers buy hundreds of guns, even against the wishes of the gun dealers? Why did they allow these straw purchased firearms make their way across the border? Once across the border there is no way for ATF to track these guns. They could only track the ones that surfaced at crime scenes. Like the ones traced at the site of BP Agent Terry's murder. Also don't forget the murder of Agent Jamie Zapata, killed in a ambush in Mexico by the drug thugs.
As we celebrate today our Independence, Maybe take a moment to say a prayer for these 2 Agents and the hundreds of innocent Mexican citizens killed because our own government wants more power. Power they can only get by lying and trying to take away the rights we have under the Constitution. The Founders insisted on the bill of rights for a reason. A reason the people in power seem to have forgotten.

Catching up
Weiner gate.
Did Weiner have a wrapper on that wiener? How disgusting can one person get. His refusal to resign shows just what a arrogant turd he really is. The part I found truly amazing was the fact that he's just barely been married a year. And she's a looker too. Some people are just too much wiener for their own good. Hopefully, the people in his district will retire him next election. The only problem there is the fact he will draw full pay and benefits for the rest of his life. There's a problem that needs fixed.

A year ago it was discovered that the U.S. Dept of Education was purchasing Remington 870 shotguns with 14 inch barrels. That a strange purchase for a department that is supposed to be educating our children. What are they for? Now we know. A swat team comprised of members of the dept's inspector general division raided a mans home at 6 in the morning. Looking for his estranged wife who hasn't lived there in a while. They destroyed his front door. Why couldn't they knock and talk to whoever answered? Why do the need to destroy someones property? More proof that the police in this country are becoming to military in their look and action.
New gun control spokesman.
The Brady bunch, VPC CSGV and other now have some help on their force-able disarmament front. Meet American-born Al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn.

No clue. He makes a good gun control spokesman because he hasn't a clue that fully automatic weapons aren't available at gun shows. They are tightly regulated by the government and to purchase one takes a lot of money and a serious background check. One that can take several months to complete. Of course to the anti's, if it looks like a machinegun it must be a machinegun. They don't worry about semantics.
Even the Washington Post got in on the action. "THERE MAY NEVER be a better spokesman for closing the gun show loophole than Adam Yahiye Gadahn."
There is no "gunshow loophole". Dealers at gunshows are required to run the same background check there as they do at their regular store. There are always a few people walking around with a gun for sale. Usually a old 22 or a shotgun they don't want any more. And in most states, private sales require no permit and are perfectly legal. I'm still laughing over the video. It's only a minute long and well worth the watch. This fool is hiding out in Pakistan because if he ever comes back to the States, he's going to prison for a long time.

FBI reports drop in violent crime
Well, the numbers for 2010 are in. The FBI reports that violent crime is down.
The FBI reported that violent crime fell in all four regions of the country last year — 7.5 percent in the South, 5.9 in the Midwest, 5.8 percent in the West and 0.4 percent in the Northeast.
Just.4 percent in the north east? Why so little? It could be because the north east has the most draconian gun laws of all the states. Especially states like Connecticut and Massachusetts. New York City is hanging right in there with their Mayor Bloomberg still on his rampage about "illegal" guns. What he really means is any gun not in the possession of the police or military.
Some of the report's highlights include:
* Nationally, murder declined 4.4 percent, while forcible rape dropped 4.2 percent, robbery 9.5 percent, and aggravated assault 3.6 percent—all when compared with 2009 crime figures.
* Geographically speaking, the South saw the largest decline in violent crime (7.5 percent), followed by the Midwest (5.9 percent), the West (5.8 percent) and the Northeast (0.4 percent).
* Concerning property crime, motor vehicle theft was down 7.2 percent, larceny-theft was down 2.8 percent, and burglary was down 1.1 percent. Arson, tracked separately from other property crimes, fell 8.3 percent nationally.
*
Crime in the U.S.
All regions of the country experienced overall declines in property crime during 2010 from 2009 rates: down 3.8 percent in the South, 2.7 percent in the Midwest, 2.5 percent in the West, and 0.5 percent in the Northeast.
* All city population groups saw decreases in violent crime.
* Cities with populations of less than 10,000 saw a significant drop in murder—a 25.2 percent decrease.
There were some specific increases noted:
* The Northeast saw increases in some violent crime categories from 2009 figures—murder was up 8.3 percent, forcible rape up 1.4 percent, and aggravated assault up 0.7 percent.
* Cities with populations of 250,000 to 499,999 saw a 3.0 percent rise in murder, while cities with populations of 500,000 to 999,999 saw a 1.9 percent increase in forcible rape, and cities between 25,000 and 49,999 saw an increase of 1.3 percent in burglary.
* The Northeast also saw an increase in burglary—up 3.5 percent.
* Non-metropolitan counties reported slight increases in burglary (1.2 percent) and larceny-theft (3.2 percent).
Good news for most of the country. The glaring exception is the 0.5 percent decrease in property crime in the Northeast. There's that whole gun restriction thing again. The other three sections of the country all experienced larger percentages of decreases. Then there is this.
Notice the increases in the report. This is what happens when honest people aren't allowed to defend themselves. The more restrictions on gun ownership, the higher the crime rate.
I will be interested in seeing the report broken down by state. Particularly Vermont. For years Vermont's carry law has been the simplest in the country. If you don't have a criminal record, you can carry. No permit required. They also have one of the lowest crime rates in the country. You don't hear of shooting rampages or other mass shootings there. Could it be because the criminals don't know who is carrying? That would be my guess.
Speaking of mass shootings, Iowa on January 1st became the latest state to change to "shall issue". The paper and all of the usual anti-gun crybabies predicted blood in the streets, shootouts over fender benders and parking places and schools under siege. With students being gunned down almost daily.
Don't you just love the doom and gloom crowd? Where is all the blood we were promised? Did I miss it? I have yet to see any shootouts in the Hy-Vee parking lot. I have come across a few fender benders, where was the gunfire? I haven't seen anyone waving their gun around because they were cut off in traffic. What happened? We were told for weeks that Iowa would become a battle ground that would rival D-Day.
Then there was the whole open carry thing. They were reporting that "now", Iowans could just strap on their guns and stroll down the street. Iowa has always been a open carry state. But with the may issue law, people kept their guns concealed to prevent loosing their permits. The police and sheriffs departments frown on a man with a gun call only to find out it was just a law abiding citizen open carrying. Besides that, most of us would rather carry concealed. It just makes good sense. One, you don;t scare the sheeple and it's better not to make yourself a target for some miscreant.
I'm sorry all of you anti-gun people were so wrong. It must be hell when the law abiding citizens won't cooperate with your doomsday plans. I guess your going to have to find something else to complain about. I'm not sorry to see the old "may issue" law go by the wayside. This was one of the most abused law in the state. Some counties issued permits just like shall issue. Others wouldn't issue for any reason and a whole host of abuses in the middle. I saw the permit of a friend and it was so restricted that it was useless.
Right after the law changed, I invited the editorial staff at the Register to join me at the range. I offer to furnish everything they needed for a safety class, including a live fire round. It would have only taken a couple hours and the might have been enlightened. I never did hear back from any of them. I furnished both my phone number and e-mail address. Hey, Register, I'm still waiting.

Veterans getting the shaft
As some of you may know, I am a disabled veteran. I received a medical discharge from the Marines after 3 years and 8 months of service. I went on to work as a truck driver, mechanic and equipment operator for 31 years. In 2004 a slip on the ice put a end to my working days. After going through almost every penny we had on doctors, I applied to the VA for the benefits I earned. I started to receive some benefits by the summer of that year.
I appealed their decision on the amount of service connect-ability of my disability. after over a year I finally got a small increase. Barely enough to cover me medicine. I felt that they were short changing me due to the accident that started all of this. When i was hit by a truck in 1976. I contacted the DAV and we appealed their decision. For the next 2 years it was tests and specialists and finally, a denial.
Two years ago, after the DAV told me there was nothing else I could do I had to hire a law firm to take over my case. So far it has been another 2 years of doctors and tests and specialists and still nothing. I decided it was time to seek outside help. This past January, I was at the State Capital and ran across Senator Grassley. We talked for a bit and he told me who to contact at his office. I made the contact and now, almost 6 months later, still nothing. This morning I sat down and wrote the Senator another letter.
Senator Grassley,
It has been over a month since I received a copy of the letter that the VA sent you about my case. The letter stated that my case was "under review". This is just another one of their form letter to appease people into thinking they are doing anything. I wonder how long it takes to "review" a few pages of a medical report. Over a year ago, we were told, at the VA office, that we had a solid case and should have a decision in a few weeks. That was over a year ago and all I get are form letters.
The way the VA is treating veterans, both young and old is a disgrace. We are forced to wait months and sometimes years for a decision on the things we were promised when we enlisted. We did not make the government wait when we did our duty. Yet we have to wait on some bureaucrat to take his sweet ass time to make a decision. My case has only been going on for 6 1/2 years. I have had the DAV work on my case up to the point they could go no farther. Now, for the last 2 years I have had to retain a law firm to try and get my benefits. The is nothing right about this. There should be no need for law firms that specialize in veterans rights.
In 1976 while on active duty in the Marines, I was hit by a truck. The details are all in my medical records at the time. That and current data and test results are all right there in my file at the VA. I have submitted to every test and examination they have requested. All of this seem to be action to make me think they are doing something.
Because of the hold up in the last 3 years, we have almost lost our house, my wife, a heart patient has had to go to work just so we can keep the basic utilities on. We can't get medical coverage for her because of this lack of decision. I have even had to resort to delivering pizza part time just to make a little to help make ends meet. Neither one of us are supposed to be working but they leave us no choice. Their foot dragging has caused a lot of problems for us.
The President said that veterans are supposed to be a priority. I guess that was just another lie to keep us quite while they maintain the status quo. You can probably tell that I am becoming very discouraged. It's not so much that as tired. Almost 7 years takes a lot out of a person.

Will it do any good? I doubt it. No one can explain why it takes so long to get the benefits we were promised when we took our oath. There are young men coming back from the war in need of serious medical help and yet they have to wait months if not longer for the care they desperately need. We hear from these politicians all the time about how they care for veterans. They can talk till they are blue in the face. I'll start believing them when they actually do something. Show us, That includes President Obama. He needs to quit campaigning long enough to show the ones that defend this country that he and other really care.
Respectfully,
Robert Fowler

Will "gunwalker" destroy Holder and the ATF?
December 14th 2010, Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was killed in a firefight with Mexican narco-terrorist on our southern border. Found at the scene were two rifles. Not being a abnormal situation until the serial numbers on the rifles were traced. The numbers were traced back to a Arizona gun shop. A gun shop that was selling guns to straw purchasers. The gun shop owner was suspicious and contacted the ATF. The ATF demanded that the shop owner, against his better judgment, continue with the sale.
The ATF in Arizona was operating a sting operation called project gunrunner. The Phoenix office informed the gun dealer that they would be following the purchaser and would make sure that the guns were intercepted. Well the joke was on ATF. Shortly after the purchase they lost track of the buyer and the guns ended up in Mexico.
This has been going on since 2009, with a few thousand guns ending up in Mexico in the hands of drug runners and other criminals. All with the knowledge of higher ups in the Justice department. Just how high up is something that Senator Chuck Grassley wants to know. I received my regular update from the Senator and he goes into pretty good detail about the investigation. You can see the letter here

The story of "gunrunner" was first uncovered by National Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea and independent blogger Mike Vanderboegh of sipsey street irregulars who joined forces to unearth details in the story before anybody else. They were asking question long before CBS's Sharyl Attkisson Broke the news in the national media. David and Mike talked to ATF whistle blowers in late December and assigned the ATF's operation as "project gunwalker" because of the ATF idea of letting guns "walk". They have compiled a very large file on the project that is available here.

This is a time line from first learning of the scandal to the latest story.
This was brought to the Attention of Senator Grassley the ranking member of the Justice Committee. He had questions and met with several of the whistle blowers. It was time to start a investigation. A investigation that was a\stonewalled at every turn by the Justice department. From Senator Grassley's update,
After ten letters to the Justice Department or the ATF to get to the bottom of this ill-advised strategy, I have received five responses—two that provided false information, one that provided no information, one that sought to deter me from seeking information from other sources, and one that partially responded to my concern about attempts to prevent communications between whistleblowers and Congress.
It seems that Attorney General Holder and company have a lot to hide. Even acting director of ATF got into the mix.
Through witness testimony, and reams of documents given to us through anonymous sources, we’ve learned that ATF Acting Director Kenneth Melson was intimately involved in the ATF’s operation along the Southwest Border, even lauding it as an extremely successful operation.
Extremely successful? They allowed nearly 3 thousand weapons to cross the border and end up in the hands of criminals, Including the criminals that killed Agent Terry and ICE agent Jamie Zapata. That's not my definition of success.
Now Congressman Darrell Issa has joined in the investigation as the chairman of the house oversight committee. Between the two, they have put Holder through the ringer this week, Demanding answers and getting useless drivel. The truth will come out and it's not going to be pretty. The big question is which one is going to fall on their sword. Will it be Melson? or Holder.
Either way, there is going to be a price to pay for this screwed up operation. A operation I believe was successful in reaching one of their goals. Holder stated right after the election that he wanted to re-instate the Clinton gun ban that expired in 2004. Letting these guns cross the border and retrieved and traced, they could prove that American gun dealers were supplying weapons. This would give them the ammo they needed to revive a new and improved gun ban. It's too bad for them that two Americans lost their lives not to mention all of the innocent victims in Mexico. And just how long will it be before we find mass graves on our side of the border?
