THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

Nigerian people caught in perfect storm of tyranny and terrorism

Nigerian people caught in perfect storm of tyranny and terrorism

They live under the rules that Bloomberg and his demanding mommies want.

VA

The whole VA thing with the secret lists and veterans dying has been going on for longer that people realize.

I receive great care at the VA. Now for the problem. I applied for benefits 10 years ago last month. I have a medical discharge from the Marines because of a truck accident. I'm also on SSDI because I am unable to work. They keep denying and I keep appealing. 4 years ago, I had to hire a lawyer to get me through all the bullshit. The very fact that we have law firms with names like Legal help for Veterans is a sad statement on the VA. After my last denial and before I hire Legal Help for Veterans, I received 10 or 12 letters from law firms all over the country wanting to represent me. In March, I had to go through another physical evaluation. I've been jumping through their hoops for 10 years and no end in sight.

The problem isn't with the doctors, nurses, volunteers or anyone else directly doing the care. It's the administrators and their flunkies. Until these people are made responsible, we are going to keep having the same problems we have now. I read that they cleared over 200,000 cases from the backlog last year. They say they still have over 350,000 to go. This is complete and utter bullshit. They need to approve every case they have and if someone is gaming they system, go after them. They keep denying us older vets and a lot of them are dying before there case ever comes up. They deny us so they can show their bosses how much money they are saving the VA. They talk about how the VA is under funded and yet I never hear of welfare for the non-serving slugs being under funded. We can't get food stamps but when I go to the grocery store I see a lot of people buying junk food with their EBT cards. Why are people allowed to buy soda and chips with food stamps. This is the government buying votes. Old dying veterans aren't a big voting pool so they think they can piss on us and all will be fine. As long as they get all the welfare slugs and illegal aliens they are happy.

The veterans that I really feel bad for are the young guys returning from those shitholes in the middle east with parts missing or injuries that are invisible. They have one of the highest suicide rates in the country and not a single person in DC seems to care.

Yeah. I'm fed up. I'm so tired of being shat on by some bunch of nameless and faceless bureaucrats in some un-named office.

Read it all. This is a very good fisking of a supposed gun owner. He's also one of Obama's minions. The outright lies like the 80 to 90 percent support background check lie. I've said it before, if 80% of a politicians constituents wanted something, the politician will move heaven and earth to try and make it happen.

He also spouts about "compromise". The gun haters do not compromise on any thing. What have they ever given up? Nothing. It's always the gun owners that give something up and then the gun haters start in again.

I will not submit.

I will not comply.

I will not register a single gun.

MOLON LABE bitches.

I think this is one of the truest and most powerful paragraphs from the article.

The events at the Bundy Ranch proved a theory those in the militias and the III per centers had held for a long time: the government is abusive and aggressive, but deep down they know they are tyrants, above the law and once confronted by armed patriots standing on principle in the sort of numbers presented to them at the Bundy Ranch, they have no options. To have opened fire on that day, against those cowboys, would have initiated a civil war. Due to modern technology that brutality would have been seen across the nation in the time it takes to click on a link. The result would have been to create millions more III percenters to the opposition and certainly instant retribution from those who already identify with the brand.
Emboldenment mine.

The Smallest Minority: How Bad Is It When You Can't GIVE Money Away?

The Smallest Minority: How Bad Is It When You Can't GIVE Money Away?: Mike Rowe (of Dirty Jobs fame) has an organization he runs, MikeRoweWorks.com, that gives scholarships to students studying the trades. He...

Question: If I were to form "The American Idol Scholarship Fund" and announce $15,000 of professional training for anyone who wished to become a pop star, how long do you think it would take to give away a million dollars?
A day? An hour? A minute?
What if I offered the same money to anyone who wanted to learn how to maintain and repair diesel engines? How fast would the million dollars go then?
Currently, this question has no official answer. But I can tell you this - for the last month, mikeroweWORKS has been offering FULL-RIDE scholarships to one of the best trade schools in the country. And as of now - a big chunk of that million dollars is still up for grabs. Why? Because mikeroweWORKS scholarships do not reward fame or celebrity. They reward work ethic, and the willingness to learn a necessary skill. In other words, they are designed to train people for jobs that actually exist.

I did the work that he's offering scholarships for. Back when I was in the learning process, I would have loved to have went to a regular school and have it paid for. I got some of my training in the Marines, all the rest was practical, OJT training.  OJT meaning doing all the scut work and watching and helping the "real" technicians. Which isn't a bad way to learn and I did learn a lot. I also learned some shortcuts that schools probably don't teach.

College is great for some people, but it's really not for every one. All of my college came after years in the work force and was paid for by Ford when I was a tech at a dealership. I went from a off the street walk in to Master Technician in 2 years. Of course I had already spent over 20 years working in the transportation industry.

When Governments Fail

When Governments Fail

When government failed to protect them, what other choice did they have?
When government disarmed them and then failed to do its job, what were they supposed to do?
They took up arms – illegally – but they did it anyway. They did it, knowing full well that this was the only option they had. They defended themselves and their loved ones when government couldn't live up to its contract...

Interesting history on the liberator pistol. I didn't know that they made as many as they did. 1 million pistols in 10 weeks. With a work force of just 300 people.

Little Johnny Didn’t Deserve to Get Shot

I get more than a little irritated at the parents whose kids are killed while committing crimes, who talk about what good kids they were. They try to blame everyone but their knucklehead kids, they file lawsuits, demand someone else be held accountable, or use their grief to try to deny the civil rights of gun owners or concealed carry permit holders. Perhaps they should start by looking in the mirror.

RTWT. You've seen the assorted news stories. Little Johnnie breaks into someones house and ends up at room temperature. The next thing you know, the little thugs family is telling us all what a good boy he was. How he went to church every Sunday and helped little old ladies across the street. And if they had been in trouble before, how they were turning their life around. A activity that seems to be fatal.

Responsible parents recognize their kids strengths and weaknesses and are honest about them. They are involved in their kids lives and watchful for signs of trouble. While we may wish that little Johnny or little Susie are good kids, parenting is more than wishful thinking. It’s hard work. It’s putting the needs of your children ahead of your own. It’s being the bad guy when necessary and not trying to be your kid’s best friend. It’s applying the Reaganesque strategy of trusting your kids, but verifying they are deserving of that trust.

When I was growing up, my parents were not my "friend", they wre my parents. When we malfunctioned, we were punished for it and lessons were learned.  I did become friends with them after I had left home and spent almost 4 years in the Marines. Dad and I did things together and even went to the bar together. We had a great time. But behind it all, I had the respect for the job they did in my journey from boy to man. I've never robbed or killed anyone. I've never spent a night in jail. I owe that little feat to the fact that I had parents that actually parented.

It’s natural for parents to want to think the best of their kids. Most parents have blinders on with respect to their shortcomings. For some it’s driven by the desire to not be seen as bad parents. “I’m a good parent, so it has to be something else.” And when little Johnny does screw up and ends up dead, it’s natural for parents to look for anything to blame.
Anything except little Johnny. Or themselves.
