NRA-ILA | Bloomberg Proxy Releases Anti Gun Manifesto Proposes to Ban Cartoon Characters and Colors

The name of U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly (D-Ill.) headlines the Kelly Report, a new manifesto identifying a long list of gun control initiatives that anti-gun activists intend to pursue in the near future. However, the document appears to be the handiwork of Michael Bloomberg, whose misleadingly-named Independence USA political action committee contributed $2.1 million to Kelly’s congressional campaign last year.

Bought and paid for by Bloomberg. She replaced that paragon of virture Jesse Jackson Jr., who is now in the federal slammer.

There has also been a further development and, no, we are not making this up. On Monday, even though children are already prohibited from buying firearms at retail under federal law and the laws of most states, Kelly introduced H.R. 5093, the Children’s Firearm Marketing Safety Act. This legislation would direct the Federal Trade Commission to prohibit the use of cartoon characters to market guns to children, to prohibit the manufacturing of guns in colors designed to appeal to children.

A law to prevent children from buying guns? Even though you have to be 18 to buy a long gun and 21 for a handgun. It's hard to believe that Bloomberg is wasting money on these useless tools.

Really Bloomy? Here's a clue, I don't lock up my defensive arms. That is why I have been teaching my grandsons gun safety since they were big enough to walk. That's what responsible gun owners do.

No, I mean, guns are dangerous. The statistics are overwhelming. You're something like 22 times more likely to get killed in your home if you have a gun than if you don't. [Gestures at a staffer.] Let's say Amanda's trying to break in. "Excuse me, Amanda, I've gotta go get my gun to shoot you. Now, where did I put that combination to that lock? And the bullets were where? I don't know what the [heck]…how do you turn the safety off?" Are you kidding me? The last thing you want to do when somebody breaks in and puts a gun toward you is try to go for a gun. That's really stupid. I don't know if you're going to get shot one way, but I guarantee you're going to get killed the other way.

Maybe he should use some of that money to visit the wizard, to get a brain.

In reality, and let's play VPC's game of using rates, ours will prove less than "gun-free" Japan or the UK, or Australia, or ... again, there's no need to continue. The problem is not with gun owners. We are not robbers. We are not killers. Get this straight: It's not our fault. And anyone who says otherwise is a liar – one who wants to trick you out of your rights if they can't outright steal them from you.

VPC's "concealed carry killers" is a joke. They claim to have documented permit holders that have killed someone.The problem is, they do no follow up. A lot of them turn out to be legitimate self defense.  They seem to leave that part out. Of course their leader is the one that decided that trying to confuse the public about so called "assault weapons" was a good way to get the guns that scare them banned.

Every now and then, some people do something to make you think we aren't finished as a society after all.  I'm going to be spending more at Lowe's when I can.  Notice in the article, the employee's stayed nearly a hour after close to do this. 

Three employees, David, Marcus and Souleyman jumped to my assistance immediately. They placed me in another chair while they went to work.

They didn't ask any questions, didn't feel the need to fill out any forms or make phone calls. Someone needed help and they felt privileged to be given the opportunity.

I'm going to do a Kindle "free run" on my Enemies Trilogy from Monday, July 14, through Wednesday night. I have up to 5 days, but I'd prefer to hold a few in reserve. If this 3 day run takes off and gets attention among the libs, I can extend it to 5.
