THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

And the winner is......

Larry at Last refuge of a scoundrel Has honored me with the liebster blog award. It's for up and coming blogs with less than 200 followers. It is something that gets passed on to others that we read and enjoy.

The Rules:

1. Copy and paste award on your blog. (did that)
2. Link back to the blogger who gave you the award. (done)
3. Pick your five favorite blogs with less than 200 followers and leave a comment on their blog to let them know they have received an award.
4. Hope that the five blogs chosen will keep spreading the love and pass it on to five more blogs.

A Girl and her gun
Recently converted to a pro-gun person. Her story is a great read on the journey from victim to Someone taking responsibility for their own safety.

Sean S. In North Carolina points out the futility of gun control. He's also the brains behind the Gunwalker tee shirts. I have one and every time I wear it I get comments.

zombie rush J D is still a little new at this. He is right up the road in Ankeny and covers a lot of the same things I do, from a different point of view. Always worth the read. Someday we're going to have to get together and make a range trip. Great minds and all.

The Feral Irishman Sometimes funny, sometimes not so much. A wide variety of subjects for everyone.

Knuckledraggin' my life awayGreat stuff. A sometimes twisted view of the world. The adventures of his dog makes it worth reading.

There they are, my 5 picks. Give them a look, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks Robert. I've actually done very little shooting this month- been building up my ammo supply again and putting together new stuff. Guess it just wasn't cold enough out for me. Thought about it today, but this wind is insane.
