THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

The new RIP bullet

I've been asked about this a couple of times.

.....Ammo

They call it the R.I.P. round and with good reason. G2 Research has released a new ammo that is taking the market by storm and has gun owners all over the country trying to find where to pick some up.

RTWT and don't forget to watch the videos. I could post the videos, but then you wouldn't have to do much. Get busy.

I'm not impressed. So far they have only released the specs for the 9mm. 96 grs? I load 380's with 95 gr bullets. They are also over 2 bucks each. We are supposed to train with what we carry. But how much training are you going to do at 2.25 a round? The rounds I use for defense cost me less than 30 cents each. I can afford to shoot a box of those every range trip. The FMJ's I use for general practice are about the same price.

Here is a comment I found over at Ken's

I don’t care much for the math on this thing. It’s starting at 96 grn and is going to drop the 8 fragments with a solid base. If you assume the base is in the 40 – 50 grn range, the fragments are around 6 – 7 grn. Pretty weak if you are poking holes in anything more substantial than gelatin.

I have to agree with this. If I ever have to defend myself, I want my bullet to retain as much mass as possible. Mass=stopping power.

My honest opinion? Something else for the “Tacticool Keyboard Rangers” to spend money on.
