THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

This prog asshat wants to be our Senator

Braley wants your opinion on background checks!

You can go here. I did and I left something for him.

My comment;

There is now way to have a universal background check without a complete database of every gun and who owns it in the country. This is a scam by the gun haters to have a list of who owns what so the confiscations can begin.
Crime is at it's lowest since the early 60's and yet everyone is screaming about gun crime. Someone commits a crime with a gun, they should be locked in a cage and given 2 options. Either learn to play nice with others or sit in that cage until you die. The second time, they stay locked up. Kids caught with a little bit of pot serve more time than violent criminals. It seems we have our priorities backwards.

Braley's gun control stance to the left of every Senator

Rep. Bruce Braley, the presumptive Democratic nominee for Iowa’s open U.S. Senate seat, revealed last week that he would vote to the left of every U.S. Senator on gun regulations.

Braley, a trial lawyer by trade, told The Huffington Post at liberal confab in San Jose, Calif. that he would have opposed a key plank of the Senate’s failed gun control bill—the background checks amendment sponsored by Sens. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., and Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.
But Braley wouldn’t have opposed the bill because of Second Amendment concerns; he blasted the measure from the left for maintaining a law barring lawsuits against firearms manufacturers for gun violence (and expanding the protection to private sellers who use background checks).
It's hard to believe that anyone could be to the left of Schumer and Fineswine. But he's surely there. In another article, he shows his support for Obama's registration scheme.

You can read that here.

Braley announced that he would co-sponsor a bill to ban the sale of so-called high-capacity magazines. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., introduced a similar bill Thursday banning ammunition magazines capable of holding more than 10 bullets.
Yep, we've got to ban those "evil" magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. Because instead of 3, 30 round mags, no one would think to carry 9 10 rounders. Where do these idiots get these ideas? The police and military will be exempt, of course, because we know they are better trained than we are.

Braley also said he supports President Obama’s proposals for executive action, a national gun registry and more thorough background checks. He acknowledged the practical, logistical challenges of such a forward-looking ban considering the amount of magazines already in existence. Nonetheless, Braley said that discussing the issue would be constructive.
Yeah, we are going to register our guns, maybe when hell freezes over. The Germans had registration and after Adolph came into power, those lists were used to confiscate the  guns of anyone the Nazi's considered a enemy of the state. Who would this administration consider a "enemy of the state"? Bloggers that don't toe the progressive line? People an one list or another? Returning veterans? The possibilities are endless.
“It’s always very difficult to eliminate a product that has been lawfully sold once it’s in the marketplace, so one of the things that should be happening is a wide-scale conversation about the impact of all of the factors that influence violence in our society,” he said.
Braley suggested a federal recall program similar to the umbrella program used by six federal agencies to alert the American people to unsafe, hazardous or defective products.
So, they think they can have a recall? Good luck with that. Or maybe a "buy back". Even though it's hard to "buy back" something you have never owned.
