THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

It's almost time

The 19th of April is fast approaching. Patriots day. The day 235 years ago, brave patriots stood on the green at Lexington waiting for the British to come and take their arms. Except the patriots weren't very cooperative. The confrontation started the revolutionary war with the "shot heard 'round the world".

We are gathering in Washington DC and cities around the country to demonstrate to the "political elite" that we are tired of them trying to restrict our rights. There are those in congress that would try their best to take our guns away. Their bills keep dying because a majority see them for what they are.

The mission statement of The Second Amendment March:

The mission of the Second Amendment March is to galvanize the courage and resolve of Americans; to petition our elected officials against establishing anti-gun legislation; and to remind America that the Second Amendment is necessary to maintain our right to self defense.
It is the one right that protects all others.
We will accomplish our mission by a peaceful march in Washington DC, the United States Capital, supported by satellite marches in cities all across America.
The march in D.C. will take place on Monday, April 19, 2010 on the grounds of the Washington Monument.

The Des Moines March will take place at noon on the 19th of April on the west side of the capital. The arrangements for speakers is on going. Currently serving politicians are invited to attend. They will however, not be allowed to speak. We have listened to them for years, no it's their turn to listen to us.
Everyone interested in our rights and preserving the Constitution should try to attend. It should be a great time for all.
