I received a phone call from my Brother just about noon today. My Mom died just a few minutes before noon, CST. She has been in bad health for the last 3 years and I have been expecting this call. Of course it was still a shock. Mom turned 89 on Sept. 12th. Now she can be with Dad. A stroke 3 years ago affected he memory and she spent the last years living in 1943. It's been just a little over 3 months since Naomi's Mom died. It's not been a good summer.
We will be gone for a bit. The funeral will be next Tuesday. I have to work the gun show this weekend to have the money to go. So we will probably leave Sunday afternoon or early Monday morning. It's just shy of 500 miles from here to East Prairie. I'll update as I know more.

My sincere condolences.
89 is a pretty good run though.
Treasure the good memories.

Oh, my deepest sympathies to you. It doesn't matter how prepared you are, it still comes as a shock. You and your family are in my prayers. Safe travels.
Thank you guys, We do have a lot of good memories. Now she's with Dad forever.
I know the feeling, mom went to be with dad last month. You prolly already know that, keep eating, even if you ain't hungry and say a few prayers, that's the only advice I can give, we all grieve differently.........;-(
