THE FOUR RULES

1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.

2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.

3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.

4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.

Winston Churchill said
"A GENTLEMAN, SELDOM, IF EVER, NEEDS A GUN.
BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE NEEDS IT VERY BADLY!"
Si Vis Paceum Para Bellum

Sam Adams, more than beer

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen”
Samuel Adams

Lincoln on power

"We must prevent these things being done, by either congresses or courts — The people — the people — are the rightful masters of both Congresses, and courts — not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it —" Abraham Lincoln

Sad News

I received a phone call from my Brother just about noon today. My Mom died just a few minutes before noon, CST. She has been in bad health for the last 3 years and I have been expecting this call. Of course it was still a shock. Mom turned 89 on Sept. 12th. Now she can be with Dad. A stroke 3 years ago affected he memory and she spent the last years living in 1943. It's been just a little over 3 months since Naomi's Mom died. It's not been a good summer.

We will be gone for a bit. The  funeral will be next Tuesday. I have to work the gun show this weekend to have the money to go. So we will probably leave Sunday afternoon or early Monday morning. It's just shy of 500 miles from here to East Prairie. I'll update as I know more.

89 is a pretty good run though.

Treasure the good memories.
